Six Pack Abs - Why Do People Fail?

Six pack abs are hard to get at the best of times. Sure there are those who naturally seem to have one. It might be their jobs or their recreation but either way, they are doing something. I must admit that they annoyed me. They didn't work-out or do any exercise, their body naturally equipped them.

Too bad it didn't work out for me. But I have since learned that being a victim does nothing. I can complain all I want but in the end, it does nothing to help me to get six pack abs.

If I want six pack abs, then I have to go out and get them.

Why do people want a six pack?

Six pack abs say to everyone around you that you are disciplined, strong, sexy, and that you go for what you want. Who wouldn't want to be known as a person like that?

Why do so many people not have a six pack?

Of course, not every single person in the world wants six pack abs, but I'm quite sure that a lot of them do. I must say that I quite enjoy mine and the effect it has on those around me. But why don't people have a six pack like me? I don't think it's because they don't want them - most people would have a six pack if they thought they could. I think that the single, greatest reason why people don't have a six pack is laziness.

Yep, you heard correctly. It's not diet, it's not lifestyle, (although all those things are important), it is their choice to not take action. Anyone can read a book and find out all sorts of exercises to get six pack abs, but in the end, unless they take action, they have nothing.

I have a quote in front of me saying, "A quitter never wins and a winner never quits". That is so very appropriate to six pack abs. If you are a quitter, you will never have a six pack. But guess who gets to choose whether you are a quitter? YOU!

So Why Do People Fail?

People fail because they give up. People fail because they blame someone else. Do you want to be someone who succeeds? Then go for it. Go out and take action. Taking action is the greatest tip anyone can ever give you, and providing you follow it, you can have anything you want.

If you would take responsibility for yourself, if you would stop blaming your flab on external variables, if you would say, "It is my choice and my fault if I am fat, unhealthy and ugly". Sorry to be rude, but it's the only way. Something has to move you to action. I want you to have what you want and I am trying to motivate you to take it. You are the only obstacle in the way of you have sexy six pack abs.

If you have decided to take action and responsibility for your life, I congratulate you. The next step is directions and I have them. If you have decided to take action and claim your six pack abs, please visit: http://www.hubreviews.info/abstruth.html for a killer workout.

How to Get Flatter Abs in No Time

When we are sitting on the sofa, observing yet another couple of fitness models on TV demonstrating yet another ab machine, we may begin to absently push into our own pudgy tummy. Disappointed we push our fingers at the belly and feel dejected by the feel of that pouch. Suddenly, relieved, we realize we failed to tense the muscle. So we do and sure enough there is a nice wall of muscle there, firm and hard, but of course the fleshy skin is still there.

But, satisfied with that inspiration we justify that you have a set of abs too just like those attractive fitness models. Only....for some reason your abs are totally different from the fitness models abs. For a start, when you look in the mirror, the look is quite different and even disappointing, when we compare our abs to theirs. What is going on here? We just found our abs didn't we? We tensed them and sure enough they were there! They were hard, you even swear you could feel the bumps! The six pack!

However, if you took your shirt off, hardly anyone would notice you. You would wager, if they take their shirt off, everyone notices and admires their abs. Whats is going on here? Suddenly you realize something very new and different about your abs. You conclude abs is not about the muscles, because you obviously have those. It is about presentation!

The difference is the fitness model has a layer of smooth, supple, thin, skin across their abs. Your skin however is thick, fleshy and full of engorged fat cells. This is what is hiding your abs and therefore destroying your presentation!

Lose a few pounds a week over the next month and watch how good your abs begin to look!

Toning Your Abs

If you are serious about toning your abs, you need to do a lot more than just a few sit ups every night. You need to focus on a lot more than just muscle development and weight loss if you want to achieve your goals. The first thing you need to do is educate yourself about what goes into the most effective ab workouts, and which workouts are simply a waste of time!

The first thing you need to know about toning your abs is that there is more than just one set of abdominal muscles that need to be worked on. In fact there are three, and each of them require equal amounts of attention or your entire workout plan can be rendered ineffective. The three muscle groups you need to concentrate are your rectus abdominis, your obliques and your transverse abdominus.

The rectus abdominis is the muscle group that is most commonly associated with the “six pack” although it is not the only one responsible for ripped abs. We’ll get to this part of toning your abs later, but first you need to concentrate on your transverse abdominis. This is the muscle that runs underneath your rectus abdominis and wraps around the lower part of your rib cage. Apart from protecting your internal organs, this muscle is responsible for both your core strength and your core stability.

This part of toning your abs is the most difficult, but is the most essential part of having a well developed abdomen. Doing deep breath-and-release exercises or water exercises are both good ways of developing your core abdominal muscles. Deep breathing exercises like the Vacuum are done by filling your lungs to capacity, then breathing out while sucking your stomach in. Hold at the point where you feel your muscles tighten for two to three seconds, then release. Do sets of eight if you can, and do them every day!

Training your obliques is something that a lot of people neglect, but they are one of the most important muscle groups if you are toning your abs to look good. Men’s Health Magazine asked women all over the world what the sexiest muscles on a man were, and the obliques came out top almost all over the world. To tone these muscles simply do bicycle twist crunches. Lie on your back in sit up position, clasping your hands behind your head. Bring one knee up to your chest, and contract your stomach muscles to lift your shoulder blades off the ground. Point your left elbow at your right knee, then do it the other way. Try to do six on each side per set if you are looking to lose weight.

When you are toning your abs, the rectus abdominus muscles are actually the easiest to work with. Performing three sets of the double vertical leg lift will give these muscles definition within a few weeks. Lie on your back and lift your legs 90 degrees to the ground. Cross your ankles, and clasp your hands behind your head. Now contract your stomach muscles to both lift your feet towards the ceiling and your shoulder blades off the ground. You should feel it start to burn all over your abdominal region.

This exercise is one of the most effective for toning your abs, especially if you want to lose weight in your belly area. Doing longer sets with shorter time intervals can really burn fat, and if you do three sets of these every night you should start to see positive results in as little as two weeks.
