Six Pack Abs - Why Do People Fail?

Six pack abs are hard to get at the best of times. Sure there are those who naturally seem to have one. It might be their jobs or their recreation but either way, they are doing something. I must admit that they annoyed me. They didn't work-out or do any exercise, their body naturally equipped them.

Too bad it didn't work out for me. But I have since learned that being a victim does nothing. I can complain all I want but in the end, it does nothing to help me to get six pack abs.

If I want six pack abs, then I have to go out and get them.

Why do people want a six pack?

Six pack abs say to everyone around you that you are disciplined, strong, sexy, and that you go for what you want. Who wouldn't want to be known as a person like that?

Why do so many people not have a six pack?

Of course, not every single person in the world wants six pack abs, but I'm quite sure that a lot of them do. I must say that I quite enjoy mine and the effect it has on those around me. But why don't people have a six pack like me? I don't think it's because they don't want them - most people would have a six pack if they thought they could. I think that the single, greatest reason why people don't have a six pack is laziness.

Yep, you heard correctly. It's not diet, it's not lifestyle, (although all those things are important), it is their choice to not take action. Anyone can read a book and find out all sorts of exercises to get six pack abs, but in the end, unless they take action, they have nothing.

I have a quote in front of me saying, "A quitter never wins and a winner never quits". That is so very appropriate to six pack abs. If you are a quitter, you will never have a six pack. But guess who gets to choose whether you are a quitter? YOU!

So Why Do People Fail?

People fail because they give up. People fail because they blame someone else. Do you want to be someone who succeeds? Then go for it. Go out and take action. Taking action is the greatest tip anyone can ever give you, and providing you follow it, you can have anything you want.

If you would take responsibility for yourself, if you would stop blaming your flab on external variables, if you would say, "It is my choice and my fault if I am fat, unhealthy and ugly". Sorry to be rude, but it's the only way. Something has to move you to action. I want you to have what you want and I am trying to motivate you to take it. You are the only obstacle in the way of you have sexy six pack abs.

If you have decided to take action and responsibility for your life, I congratulate you. The next step is directions and I have them. If you have decided to take action and claim your six pack abs, please visit: http://www.hubreviews.info/abstruth.html for a killer workout.

A Diet For Flat Abs - 5 Steps To Flat Abs

Having the right diet for flat abs is vital to actually getting flat abs. You need to make sure that everything you do in your day to day routine, including everything you eat in your diet is geared towards flattening your abs. This isn't as hard as it sounds though, and a flat abs diet doesn't necessarily need to mean huge changes to your current diet.

Here's some top tips for your flat abs diet.

1. Eat low calorie alternatives wherever you can. Most foods come with a "Light", "Diet", "Low-Fat" or "Sugar-Free" option, so always try to take that option when it's available. Doing it once or twice won't make much of a difference, but doing it everywhere you can will make a big difference to your daily calorie intake.

By dropping the amount of calories you take in while you're on your flat abs diet, your body will be forced to burn off your bodyfat to compensate, so you'll lose weight and your abs will flatten. Plus, you'll barely notice a difference in your day to day life - it won't even feel like you're on a diet.

2. Cut out sweets, crisps and cakes. Now this might sound drastic, but it's the same idea as the last point. The aim is to reduce the amount of high sugar calories you take in through things like sugary drinks, sweets, crisps and cakes. It's this high fat, high sugar food which piles on as bodyfat and that's what we don't want. Cutting out sweet things altogether is hard though, and you shouldn't have to go cold turkey.

Having a balanced flat abs diet is about taking in luxury foods every now and then to treat yourself, and because your body does need small amounts of sugar, fatty oils and the other bits found in sweet foods. So, once a week treat yourself to a small cake or some sweets, but don't go overboard and ruin a week's worth of hard work!

3. Have slightly smaller portions of high carbohydrate foods like bread, rice and potatoes. These foods are chock full of calories (the right sort that you want when you're on a flat abs diet), but you still don't want to eat too much of it. Too many calories means your body has too much energy, and rather than waste it your body will store it all up as bodyfat. Rather than cut the good foods out of your flat abs diet, simply have slightly smaller portions.

4. Drink plenty of water. Our bodies run on water, the same way that engines run on oil. Your flat abs diet should include 8 glasses of cold water a day to keep your body running smoothly. Plus, cold water will raise your metabolism for a while as your body tries to warm it up, and that means you'll burn more calories during the day.

5. Lastly, eat small meals throughout the day. Our bodies naturally want to stockpile food, so by spreading your flat abs diet over 4-5 smaller meals a day, your body will soon learn that it doesn't need to hold onto the fuel and so it won't store so much as bodyfat. Make sure that even though you're eating more meals, they should be smaller than a regular meal, more like a snack. It's no good eating 5 normal sized meals a day!

How To Get Abs

Many people, young and old, desire to know how to get abs. What if I told you that you already have abs? Well believe it or not, you do but there hiding. The reason you don’t see them or many of your other muscles is because they are surrounded by the very thing we hate the most, fat.

Let me end the confusion on how to get abs once and for all. I am speaking from many years of trial and expense so let me save you the time and money. Don’t buy fancy magic ab machines, please don’t buy the magic fat burner pill because it will do more harm than anything, and save your money that you would spend on those items to buy for the new clothes you will have to buy once you lose those inches!

How to get abs? Here you go... The main keys in order to lose that tire around your belly once and for all are to:

1. Be patient. You must tell yourself that this is not going to happen overnight. How long did it take you to get that tire? A long time. I am not saying that it will take you years to lose it because it won’t. As long as you are committed, you will lose the weight.

2. Discipline yourself. “Do or do not...there is no try” as Yoda says. Whatever you do, realize that this will not work without you sticking to this program. Unfortunately, they don’t sell discipline at the store. I wish they did. I would be the first in line!

3. Exercise. Depending on how fast you want to achieve your goal, I recommend working your abs out 3 times per week every other day. A good ab routine should take approximately 15-20 minutes from start to finish. So you shouldn’t complain that this is too demanding. Though there are many routines, you can start with the basic crunch. Slow and controlled movements are what we are after. Remember quality not quantity. I recommend 3 sets of 10 reps. Start there and work your ways up.

4. Do cardio. You can do many different exercises to lose the fat. They include running, walking, aerobic exercise, spinning, jump rope, basketball, swimming, or anything else that will get your heart rate into the targeted zone.

5. Eat right. Ok, I know, this one is probably the toughest one for many of us but it is the most important. Eat 5-6 small meals a day. Usually it would be breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner, snack. Choose foods high in fiber. So instead of white bread choose whole wheat and brown rice. Cut down on sodium because it will for sure bloat your stomach and watch the seasoning. I am not saying to take it out completely but remember in moderation.

6. Avoid alcohol. This will only give you more work.

7. Water. Whether you are doing this for abs or not you should be drinking water all the time. A good rule of thumb is to take your body weight, divide by 2, and that’s how many ounces you should drink. As an example, if you weigh 200 pounds, divide by 2, would mean to drink 100 ounces per day. I know it sounds like a lot but once you do it your body will want more. Trust me. Your body craves water.

I can say with complete confidence that if you do these things, people will be asking you how to get abs. Go for it!

My name is George Gerbasi, an avid lover of fitness, and I am here to tell you nothing but the absolute truth about abs. For more great tips on how to get abs visit my site at http://www.howtoget-abs.blogspot.com
