The Best Ripped Abs Diet

The best ripped abs diet must include low fat, high fiber, high protein and little or no carbs. You can have the glamorous six pack, it's not really hard to accomplish. But, you must understand, you will have to make sacrifices to get ripped abs. Eating low fat is not very difficult. You just stay away from the inner aisles at the grocery store and stop parking your butt at the fast food joints. Fat is an essential part of every diet, so you will need to find some good supplements. The best kind is Omega 3 fatty acids found in Salmon. You can find these in different quantities at a health food store.

Adding fiber to your diet will help push food and fat through the body quicker. It will move it out instead of storing it, in the body. I always slowly build up to a level of around 40-50 grams. Make sure you do this slowly, it can wreak havoc on your intestines if you jump right up to a high level of fiber. You don't want to spend half your day in the facilities. Start jacking up your protein intake to 1.5 grams to every pound you weigh. You may find it hard to ingest protein at those levels. I suggest finding a supplement in the form of a whey protein powder shake or bar. It makes it easier for people who have busy schedules and do not have time to prepare meals.

You will hate cutting carbs but your ripped abs diet must include it. You should try and cycle your carb intake. I would eat oatmeal in the morning and then a yam or other low glycemic carb for lunch. Do not eat any more carbs during the day or night. I would then play a trick on my body and feed it a bunch of carbs every fourth day. This will fool the body, your metabolism will start to taper. It will think it's starving for carbs and then it will get what it ask for and will feel like it got its fill.

You can eat a clean diet and do all of the above, but there is no substitute for a killer cardio workout. You need to help your ripped abs diet with a brisk cardio workout five times a week. This will help the body remove excess fat. You do not even have to lift weights very often. You should start to see a six pack forming in three weeks and by the sixth week you will have the look you desire. One more tip to help your ripped abs diet. It can be a pain to eat clean every day. I would suggest incorporating a cheat day every couple of weeks. Your body needs it and you will have a healthier state of mind.

Get Six Pack Abs With an Abs Workout

Developing Six Pack abs is easier that you think. The best news is that weights are not needed. Imagine that.

Six Pack Abs can easily be developed with a combination of Interval training, targeted exercises as well as supportive exercise.

Interval Training

Interval Training is an integral part of an Abs workout. This is because it is the quickest way to remove the layer of excess fat the covers the abdominal muscles.

This exercise involves quick bursts of hard action followed by rest periods.

Run as hard and fast as you can for 20 to 30 seconds, and then walk at a quick pace for 3 minutes. Repeat this 5 times in a session.

Do this routine at least three times a week.

This exercise works because it dramatically increases the body's metabolism. This in turn increases the rate at which the body burns fat and fuel.

Targeted exercise

The best targeted exercise for developing Six Pack Abs are leg lifts.

Lay on your back with your hands behind your head. Using your abdominal muscles only, lift your legs up to approximately 60 degrees from the floor and hold them up there for 10 seconds (or longer of you can). Then let them down slowly without touching the floor.

Start with 3 times 10 reps increasing this to 3 times 30 reps. Avoid doing this exercise every day. Rather do it every second day. You muscles need a resting period to recover and to build up.

Supportive Exercise

Do three times 10 reps of Chin Ups or Pull Ups. You are probably asking yourself how this exercise helps develop Abs. Your abdominal muscle supports other muscles during workout.

Please understand that a well designed exercise program is the best way to develop six pack abs without the risk of injury. This also ensures that you get maximum results in the shortest time frame possible.

Abs Workouts For The Beginner

Before I wreck your body by giving you advice that will totally wreck the V shape you are really looking for, Let me say, if you have too much excess fat, you should focus on fat reduction and not enlarging your abdominal muscles. There is a lot of confusion about getting a ripped six pack and I can understand why, so let me clarify this exceptionally convoluted reality.

It is very counter intuitive. The truth often is. In this case, I point to the ab machine company's sensing the great demand for a nice set of abs, and inventing contraptions that actually kill what you are working for in the first place. It is confusing literally for people only because the answer is too easy. Being so easy, it is rejected by the "logic departments" of most sensible peoples minds.

I will give you a few work outs below but this article is really not about enlarging your abdominals. Why? Why would an article about abs exercises actually be telling you not to exercise the abs? Well, the answer lays in the symmetry of your physique and what you are really looking for. For men in particular, the shape of the attractive body is a nice V shape. Even if you don't want that body builders body, but to look more like "Brad Pit" for example, which most women would agree is very attractive. You still don't want to grow those abdominals. Here's why.

Increasing the size of the abdominals actually kills that sexy V shape that you should actually be seeking. The V shape of large (ish) shoulders and a very tight waist is actually what you are looking for. To increase the size of the abdominals too much actually gives one a square shape,. Not what you want! The smaller the waist, the wider the shoulders the better and more satisfactory your physique is to the eye. The eye uses a quick scan of a body and tends to linger around the abdominals. The reason for that is the very shape itself. It POINTS to your abdominals. The eye looks at the differential between the width of the shoulders and the smallness of the waist to ascertain whether the individual has a nice body. (I imagine I must be blowing your mind by now if you haven't heard of this before)

So here is my advice. Reduce fat. You can go on a limited calorie intake diet and drop a few pounds a week. Within a month you will be amazed how much detail will show on your belly. The second thing is to actually have detail on your belly. The eye tends to look for detail. A flat plain featureless area attracts the eye to the outer edges. What this does is create the optical illusion of the area being bigger than it actually is. So doing a certain amount of abdominal crunches and sit ups is required. However, to focus exclusively on the abs and enlarge this quite responsive muscle group, is a mistake. Making them bigger or enormous will kill the V shape that you are really seeking!
