How To Get Six Pack Abs Fast - 4 Tips You Have To Know About

This is one of the most common questions in the fitness world. Having six pack abs turns a person into much more sexy and desirable, whether that person is a man or a woman. Because of this, many people desperately wish they had flat 6 pack abs. Yet most of them fail. Why? It's not due to lack of trying. In any gym you can see people who do hours of abs exercises, yet never manage to bring out the six pack that's hiding beneath that layer of stubborn belly flab. If you want to be one of the few that do succeed, read the rest of this article.

4 Tips To Getting Six Pack Abs

1. Keep track of your results and progress -- Getting six pack abs is a course for professionals. If you want to succeed you need to act like one. That means keeping track of your progress and results, the exercises that you perform, the diet you keep, and the development of your abs. Always take a small notebook and pen with you to the gym and write down what you do (type of exercise, number of reps) so you'll know what works for you and what doesn't and when to switch exercises routines. You will get faster and better results.

2. Don't do the same abs exercises all the time -- Your abs muscles need variety in order to properly develop. You see, your muscles become accustomed if you do the same exercises over and over again. When that happens, your muscles aren't developing as they should. Change you abs workout routines every 4 weeks.

3. Maintain a healthy diet -- Many people starve themselves in the hopes of losing their stubborn belly fat. This is a mistake. Going on a low calorie diet disrupts muscle development. Your abs need food in order to develop. Make sure to eat a reasonable amount of food each day. Go for lean protein (chicken, turkey, eggs), whole grain bread, healthy carbs like yams and potatoes, fruit and vegetables. A healthy diet will lower your belly fat and help you build those six pack abs at the same time.

4. Do cardio and full body strength exercises -- Many people neglect doing cardiovascular activity or concentrate on their abdominal muscles alone. This is a mistake. You need to be fit all over in order to lose all your excess belly fat and bring out those sexy, ripped 6 pack abs. If you want to get six pack abs fast, make sure to do at least 2 cardiovascular workout sessions and 2 full body strength sessions each week.

Many people believe that getting six pack abs takes a long time. And for some it does. I can tell you from personal experience that it doesn't have to be this way. You can get six pack abs in a matter of weeks. It all depends on how you do things. Follow the 4 tips I laid out in this article, and you will have great results faster than you can believe.

Get Six Pack Abs With an Abs Workout

Developing Six Pack abs is easier that you think. The best news is that weights are not needed. Imagine that.

Six Pack Abs can easily be developed with a combination of Interval training, targeted exercises as well as supportive exercise.

Interval Training

Interval Training is an integral part of an Abs workout. This is because it is the quickest way to remove the layer of excess fat the covers the abdominal muscles.

This exercise involves quick bursts of hard action followed by rest periods.

Run as hard and fast as you can for 20 to 30 seconds, and then walk at a quick pace for 3 minutes. Repeat this 5 times in a session.

Do this routine at least three times a week.

This exercise works because it dramatically increases the body's metabolism. This in turn increases the rate at which the body burns fat and fuel.

Targeted exercise

The best targeted exercise for developing Six Pack Abs are leg lifts.

Lay on your back with your hands behind your head. Using your abdominal muscles only, lift your legs up to approximately 60 degrees from the floor and hold them up there for 10 seconds (or longer of you can). Then let them down slowly without touching the floor.

Start with 3 times 10 reps increasing this to 3 times 30 reps. Avoid doing this exercise every day. Rather do it every second day. You muscles need a resting period to recover and to build up.

Supportive Exercise

Do three times 10 reps of Chin Ups or Pull Ups. You are probably asking yourself how this exercise helps develop Abs. Your abdominal muscle supports other muscles during workout.

Please understand that a well designed exercise program is the best way to develop six pack abs without the risk of injury. This also ensures that you get maximum results in the shortest time frame possible.

How To Get Good Abs In No Time At All

The one thing a set of good abs has is definition and detail. Whether you are male or female, getting a little bumpiness and detail in the large area of the mid section actually creates a focal point making the area look smaller. With no detail on the mid section the area does look larger than it is. It is an optical illusion, but a good set of abs, has that familiar 6 bump outline.

To get those abs, the first step is to have a thin skin layer around the tummy. If your body fat percentage is too high, the thickness of your skin will hide any ab work you have done. So, ultimately, reducing body fat on your body is just as important as having the abs in the first place. The whole project is about presentation. First you need to create the abs with a little resistance training like ab crunches and sit up's, but more importantly you will need to limit your calorie intake for a month or two and do some light cardio work in an effort to reduce the engorged fat cells in your skin.

Always drink lots of water when looking to build muscle. When you do the right exercises that stimulates the abs, what you do is create an anabolic environment in your body. The anabolic environment feeds the growing muscle nutrients and amino acids it needs to begin reshaping and thickening. If you are de-hydrated, those nutrients on a molecular level cannot travel as easily to the places it needs to go. Drinking lots of water especially during and after a work out will assist in the anabolic restorations of the muscle group.

Also, drinking lots of water, assists you when you are limiting your calorie intake. Before, when your body said, "I'm hungry" you fed it food, but often these messages and signals are not hunger but simply a discomfort or some other thing. Unfortunately, the majority of people respond to such bodily signals with food. By responding with water, quite often that is all thats required. Filling you belly with water also creates a sated feeling inside making it easier to avoid food until your designated planned meal time.

Six-Pack Abs Require A Combination Of Diet And Exercise

Many of us would love to have the six-pack abs. Everywhere you look there are commercials or ads promising these wonderful abs, but what really works? There are many of these ads that say taking a supplement can give you the envious abs you've always wanted. Whether or not these supplement is still yet to be decided. One thing that we do know for sure is that hard work will get you the results you want.

Not all the supplements that are available to you are safe. Who knows what they are putting in these supplements that will give you these great abs. There have been reports of serious side effects resulting from taking these supplements. The good news is there is another way to get these great abs without having to take supplements and risking your health. With a little hard work, exercise and a healthy diet you can achieve great looking abs all on your own.

First thing you will need to do is get some sort of journal to keep record of your exercise and diet program. You can choose whatever kind of journal you think will work best for you. If you want to use a little notebook that you can take with you to help you stay on top of your record keeping that is just fine. If you have a personal digital assistant you can invest in a program that will help you keep your records. Whichever way you decide will work better for you is what you need to do.

The purpose of the journal is to keep track of your progress, and help find any areas that may need more attention. Information you will need to put in your journal will be what day it is, your weight, what exercise you are doing or did on that day, and your food intake. You will also want to make sure you record the time of each of these events to make tracking progress easier.

You will also want to take your measurements weekly or biweekly depending on how dramatic of results you like to see and record these also. How often you weigh yourself is up to you as an individual, it all depends once again on how dramatic you want the results to be. Just remember that if you do it every day it may make you more aware of your goals and make you try harder to reach them. Whichever way you decide to go, just make sure you are weighing yourself at the same time of day each time.

When you track this information it will make you more aware of what you need to work harder on the next day or week. If you have a record of what you did you can look and see if maybe you skipped a day of exercise, or didn't eat very healthy. You want to make sure you are burning more calories than you are taking in. If you keep track of your how much food you ate and when you ate it, it will be easier to see when you need to watch more carefully. Maybe you are overeating everyday at the same time of day, if so your journal will help you see this so you can fix it.

When keeping track of your exercise you will want to write down what type of exercise you did, when you did it, and how long you did it. Keep in mind that just doing sit-ups will not guarantee that six-pack you dream of. You need to make sure you get rid of the fat so that you can see the great abs you are looking for.

To maximize your results you will probably want to do aerobic exercise or cardiovascular exercise to burn fat and calories, strength training to create more muscle, and abdominal exercises. Strength training is important because muscle burns more calories than fat, and will help power your aerobic exercises. Walking, swimming or training along with an aerobic exercise tape are all great ways to get you aerobic workout in. For abdominal work you can do regular sit-ups, or try something like Pilates. Pilates incorporates strength training for your abs and uses twisting movements to get better results.

Just remember that you should exercise four to five times a week, and keep an honest an accurate journal to maximize your results. You also need to realize that you will not get your dream abs overnight; it takes hard work and time.
