What You Really Need For Flat Abs

Achieving firm, flat abs is perhaps the most sought after exercise goal right now. Would you like to harden your abs and get that six-pack that everyone finds so attractive? Then read on and find out what you really need for flat abs.

Despite common opinion, exercising your abs is NOT the most important thing you need to do to get flat abs. There are a couple of aspects which go into great abs: dedication, hard work, and good genes. Obviously, you have no control over your genes, so you may need even more dedication and hard work.

The only way that you can get flat abs is to lose body fat. No matter how much ab strength training you do (crunches, leg raises, etc), you will not get that six-pack. Getting that six-pack is a two part step - strength training for muscle definition (crunches, bicycle, sit-ups), and weight loss for visibility. Your muscles hide beneath your fat, so even if you have really strong and worked abdominals, if you have a layer of fat covering them then you won't have that coveted six-pack.

So how do you get flat abs? There are three steps that you must perform for everything to come together.

Step 1: Regular cardio exercise. This is how you burn fat to expose your ab muscles. You should perform 30 - 45 minutes of cardio 3 - 4 non-consecutive times a week.

Step 2: Strength training. You must do this for your entire body, not just your abdominals. Remember, your abs are just like any other muscle in your body. Don't train them every day.

Step 3: Eat healthy. Limit your caloric consumption and go on a high fiber diet. Cut soda, coffee, fast food, and candy from your diet, and drink plenty of water.

These 3 steps that I just outlined to you, if followed, will help you on your way to achieving flat abs. To learn more on how to get that six-pack, visit http://www.lifefitnessblog.com/

How To Get Abs Without The Boring Ab Routine

So you really want to know what the best ab workout is for losing stomach fat, right???

Are you ready for the answer?

There are none.

Doing ab workouts don't help you lose fat around your waist line; they only help develop your core muscles. Do as many abs routines as you wish and you will never burn the fat off your mid section, but there is a way though.

Read On...

As a Personal Trainer, Nutrition Expert, and Fitness Coach, I often get people asking me this one question; "Dean, what are the best types of exercises and workouts that are for losing stubborn stomach fat in order to bring out visible six pack abs?"

Here's the problem. Most people that have excess stomach fat are usually looking for a "miracle ab workout" that is going to have them ripped with abs in not time. The only thing is that this is not a reality. They are going about it the wrong way. You don't lose stomach fat by doing a "miracle ab workout." Although it will help you develop your abs but not lose the fat around your abs. You get abs by doing compound workouts targeting your whole body, and eating well.

When you focus your time and effort on ab workouts and ab exercises to flatten your stomach and bring out those 6 pack abs the sad truth is your wasting your time. You need to do the correct workouts that will actually help reduce your stubborn body fat for good.

The answers I give my clients when they ask for the best workout for their abs, and for loosing belly fat is that I tell them to include a full body workout. A full body workout can include the exercises listed; lunges, a variation of squats, clean & presses, dead lifts, snatches, presses and pulls, swings, sprinting, mountain climbers, etc.

These exercises are known as compound movements. Movements that include many other muscle groups rather than the one being isolated; these maximize your full body burning potential also known as your metabolism. Your metabolism is sent into high speed and turns into a fat burning machine. Soon enough you will reveal your abs, if you follow the advice.

When I evaluate my clients, I still recommend working on the core and abdominals, but only the exercises that are designed to strengthen the mid section. I focus on getting my clients more bang for the buck per say. Getting them result in a timely manner, and stimulating more muscles in less the time. A full body routine that stimulate the greatest hormonal and metabolic changes within the body.

When you train with these compound movements, you are stimulating your mid section. These exercises aren't specific to your abs, but they do work them, a lot. The body can gain much more benefit when it is trained using multiple-joint workouts.

In order for you to actually see your abs you need to know that your nutrition is the most important ingredient. It doesn't matter how hard you train, or how many time you are in the gym. If your diet sucks, than don't expect to see any results! Nutrition is the key if you want to ever see your abs.

Let's take a moment and clear up the confusion;

You don't need to waste time with ab exercises to see your abs. Stop wasting your time doing sit ups, crunches, leg raises, etc. Just add old fashion high intensity full body workouts to your routine. With this said, add that to a healthy diet full of unprocessed foods in there most natural state and you will see your abs in no time.

The overload of information takes on several forms such as advertising, news stories, internet blogs as well as staged infomercials.

Articles are constantly published about the 'latest breakthrough' workouts that mainly tap into the heightened emotional buttons. Instead of providing hope, these so called treatments cause a great deal of heartache and a sense of hopelessness.

Instead of being bogged down by manipulative marketers whose main goal is to extract lots of money from you, take charge of your life and body right from the confines of your home. Vow to be strong in your determination to lose weight. Then, no body would dare to stop you from reaching your goal. You maybe surprised to note that most of the best hip and thigh exercises have been popular for several decades. A lot of these exercises withstood the test of time but at some point or other, they were modified or perhaps even forgotten.

Let's not ignore floor exercises, particularly the one leg hip extension as well as the 90 degree thigh lift. You can easily do these exercises in combination with multi dimensional, exercises while standing. Even if your main goal in exercising is to burn fat, you shouldn't worry because the right hip and thigh exercises will take care of these trouble spots.

Kick Up: Lie on the floor. Make sure that the shoulders and hips form a balanced line, followed by the knees and ankles. Your ankles may be a little in front of you. Make sure that your abdominal muscles are pulled in correctly. You would have to move carefully through the top leg, kick it up in the direction pointing toward the ceiling. The hip bones should remain stacked but don't let the pelvis tilt. When you pull your abdominals up, it should oppose your leg's lengthening movement even as you move to control its descent.

Please note that the exercise isn't a kick but is extremely effective to help your abs get toned and flat. Sideleg lifts: Breathe deeply before you begin this exercise. Make use of your abdominals to make your legs rise up a few inches from your exercise mat. Keep your inner legs together, straighten your legs back on to your mat. It is a good idea to do this exercise at least eight times a day.

Flatten That Stomach - Here Are Some Simple Exercises For Your Abs!

Having great abs is everyone's dream, but exercising those stomach muscles can be hard work. If you're going to pay the price you might as well be doing the best exercises you can. So how will you know what works and what doesn't? You'll need to try some exercises out and see which ones work for you.

First off, it's a good idea to know that we need to work the different parts of the stomach. When I first started on this I just thought I had a stomach and a few sit-ups would do the job. Guess what? I found I've got obliques on the sides plus lower, mid and upper abdominals... and they all need attention. Let's get one thing straight... this isn't necessarily easy, unless you're already in peak condition. You'll have to put out a bit. So it's important to choose exercises that will work for you... exercises that you will actually perform over a period of at least several months.

You can go to the gym or just work out on the floor at home. You don't really need to go buying expensive equipment. All those machines you see on the infomercials aren't going to work themselves. It still involves you being willing to put out. A basic workout is to do three sets of 10 each of the exercises you choose to work with.

Basic stomach crunches are the backbone of any abs program. You can just lie down and do them anywhere. Throw in some side crunches to work on those obliques.

Another great exercise is to lie face down, resting on your elbows with hands clasped, then raise your pelvis until your body is straight and hold this position as long as you can. Your abs will start to burn after a while but as you persevere you'll be on the way to that six-pack stomach. Try the hip roll: lie on your back, knees up and roll your knees to the floor on either side. This works the lower abs and the obliques.

Bridging is another routine: lie on your back, knees bent, arms along side and thrust your pelvis up as far as you can.

Supermans will test your resolve: kneel down, hands flat to the floor and extend your left arm forward and your leg straight out backward and hold as long as you can; then repeat with the right. And don't forget... you're an individual. Find the exercise that will work best for you. If you don't like them you won't do them. Some exercises that get results for one person won't get that result for another. There's nothing wrong with cheating either. I find doing my tummy workout in bed before I go to sleep or when I wake up is a good place to get started into the routine.

If you still have some flab around your tummy that you would like to lose I can show you a proven program to get rid of that.

You will lose up to 5 pounds or more in 5 days (and more if you continue). As a bonus you will lose your carbohydrate cravings and not go hungry.

I have recently written a book entitled "Lose Weight -Never Go Hungry" which lays out a plan for overcoming carbohydrate addiction and losing weight.

Discovering the Correct Abdominal Exercise That Gives You Ripped Abs

Even though numerous individuals concentrate on abdominal exercise to flatten and strengthen their stomach, in quite a few instances they are training their stomach to stick out instead of appearing flat and solid. Numerous individuals observe some changes when they initially start to workout their abs, but little changes after a month or two.

The first error many individuals do when executing an abdominal exercise is not the particular exercises they perform, but how they do them. Numerous individuals merely go through the motions while performing sit-ups and other ab exercise, and step-up the number of repetitions over time and find little difference.

Training Your Abs With the objective of getting your stomach to be really flat, it is essential you train your muscles to acquire this shape. To attain flat abs, you must tighten up your stomach muscles during your abdominal exercise. Prior to beginning this abdominal exercise, suck your stomach in as though you were trying to tuck in your shirt and tighten the muscles in your stomach. Persist in keeping your muscles tight all through your repetitions.

If you do this correctly, it is likely you will feel quite a bit more of a burn in your abs compared to if you were to do a similar workout routine in the absence of tightening your abs. By holding your muscles tight and pulled in while you execute an ab exercise, you exercise for them to remain in that state rather than being unshaped but strong.

While it appears as if you do plenty sit-ups and commit to good eating habits you should be deserving of flat well defined abs, however, this is not the case. Regrettably, the workout routine you apply to strengthen and shape your abs may not be intended to develop the six-pack abs you are searching for.

Unique Abdominal Exercises You might not understand it, but your ab workout might simply work your upper abs, providing you a two-pack rather than the hoped for six. In order to acquire traffic-stopping abs, it will be necessary for you to do an assortment of abdominal exercise workouts that center on various abdominal muscle groups.

There are a variety of unique sit-ups you can employ to concentrate on various abdominal muscle groups, in addition to exercises that involve you to lift or swing your legs out. While sit-ups are the most widely applied abdominal exercise, abdominal workout programs that require your abs to tighten in order to keep you well-balanced will produce splendid end results because these workouts will work the smaller and difficult to tone muscles in your abdominal area.

These are exercises for overall toned abs. Nevertheless, no single abdominal exercise will develop perfect abs. A beneficial exercise for your abs had better expect you to do a assortment of unique ab workouts.

Even though everyone would like to have perfect abs, diet, genetics, and life can sometimes get in the way. However, any abdominal exercise you can fit into your schedule will help get your stomach muscles tightened and burn any extra fat you might have in this area, as well as keep the pounds off in the holiday seasons.

How to Get Defined Abs

How to get defined abs as a question really is the wrong question. Knowing what to do, can mean the difference between a set of cool bumps on your belly and wasting your time grovelling on the floor for 30 days without any results. Everyone know's that exercise is the key to shaping muscle, but exercise alone is not the whole picture. Let's look into how to get defined abs more deeply.

Of course before you exercise, you should always speak to your doctor first. A positive attitude is crucial before you begin and knowing with confidence after a physical check up that your doctor encourages you to exercise is a comforting thing. Whats the use of a nice set of Abdominals if you dropped dead of a heart attack!

Let's leap in! The way to get defined abs is a question of body fat. The first question is hydration. Many people exercise without drinking anything and this can wreak havoc on the body or even be dangerous. Water that is room temperature is best, as cold water may cause cramps.

Secondly, is proper form. Proper form is vital with any exercise and without it, you can actually sprain the muscle or shape it wrong - which is much worse!.

Finally there is repetition. Repetition is an important facet of any exeercise program as it creates the necessary strain on the targeted muscles that will create the enlargement you seek.Repetition will actually shape the muscle and maintain it after the desired look is reached.

Bare in mind that repetition of an exercise need not be in the hundreds. Actually, you are not going to benefit from hundreds of reps as the muscle will get accustomed to the work load. You don't want that.

Unreasonable amounts of sets will only bring discouragement and failure. 3 sets of 12 sit ups is enough daily to allow the stomach muscles to respond. One must perform these 3 sets every day.

3 simple ideas that will get you pumping your abs in no time at all. The way to get defined abs is to reduce body fat so your new larger abs will show through.

Each time you work your abs in an effort to define them, you should hydrate your body constantly. use proper form when executing your crunches and do enough repititions to create an anabolic environment without actually over doing it.. So go on and define those ab!
