What You Really Need For Flat Abs

Achieving firm, flat abs is perhaps the most sought after exercise goal right now. Would you like to harden your abs and get that six-pack that everyone finds so attractive? Then read on and find out what you really need for flat abs.

Despite common opinion, exercising your abs is NOT the most important thing you need to do to get flat abs. There are a couple of aspects which go into great abs: dedication, hard work, and good genes. Obviously, you have no control over your genes, so you may need even more dedication and hard work.

The only way that you can get flat abs is to lose body fat. No matter how much ab strength training you do (crunches, leg raises, etc), you will not get that six-pack. Getting that six-pack is a two part step - strength training for muscle definition (crunches, bicycle, sit-ups), and weight loss for visibility. Your muscles hide beneath your fat, so even if you have really strong and worked abdominals, if you have a layer of fat covering them then you won't have that coveted six-pack.

So how do you get flat abs? There are three steps that you must perform for everything to come together.

Step 1: Regular cardio exercise. This is how you burn fat to expose your ab muscles. You should perform 30 - 45 minutes of cardio 3 - 4 non-consecutive times a week.

Step 2: Strength training. You must do this for your entire body, not just your abdominals. Remember, your abs are just like any other muscle in your body. Don't train them every day.

Step 3: Eat healthy. Limit your caloric consumption and go on a high fiber diet. Cut soda, coffee, fast food, and candy from your diet, and drink plenty of water.

These 3 steps that I just outlined to you, if followed, will help you on your way to achieving flat abs. To learn more on how to get that six-pack, visit http://www.lifefitnessblog.com/

The Secret To Razor Sharp Abs

The side abdominal crunch is the equivalent of the basic crunch ab workouts which you perform on your back, though this exercise focuses more on your oblique abdominals. It is one of the more solid ab workouts because it is simple and effective. There is no reason for underestimating this exercise, though, as there is much more than meets the eye with the side crunch. Performing them with focused intensity can give your side abdominals a formidable load, even if you are an advanced body builder.

Position your self for the ab workouts by lying on the floor with your back against it and your knees together and slightly bent, just like how your form should look like in a regular ab crunch. Put your feet on the floor, and then place your left hand at the side of your head, while your right hand is positioned on the right side of your midsection area. Then keep your knees together as you let them fall to the right, as your head and chest faces up to the ceiling. Breathe in and brace your body for the ab workouts.

Begin by breathing out, and then curling and crunching your chest toward the hip that is faced up. Though your lower trunk is faced to the right, make sure that you curl your upper body straight up during the ab workouts. Cap off them by slowly returning to your starting position.

Complete an entire set of about ten to 15 repetitions of this exercise, and then roll over and do the same movements with your knees and lower trunk facing the other side. If you would like to add range in the motion, try placing a half foam roller beneath your lower back or your hips, or do the exercise on a Swiss ball or on a Roman chair.

6 Idiot Proof Ways To Great Abs Quick

There are many ways to achieve great abs quick in a short time. A lot of us will try many methods before finding the best method to achieve the dream abs that we want. I have here six points you must take note before embarking on the journey to achieve the abs that you want.

First, remember that all of us have to burn calories to lose fat. No matter how we train them, the abs will not become visible unless we lose the fats around them. Many people focused too much on training their muscles and neglect to lose the calorie, which is why they fail to achieve their dream abs even though they train very hard everyday.

Second, proper nutrition is important when we are trying to burn calories. When we are trying to lose weight, we should always try to keep to a low calorie diet. While keeping our intake of calories low is important, it is also important to burn off the existing fats in our body. That is why exercise is also important. Proper diet with the proper exercise will generate the results that we want to get.

Third, it is very helpful to get a Swiss ball to help us with our calorie burning exercise. The Swiss ball will help us train different muscles through a full range of motion. Most of the abs exercises are designed with a Swiss ball in mind.

Fourth, we should do many different types of exercise to keep our calories burn constant. Different exercises also help us train different parts of our body. For example, jogging and cycling helps us to train our leg power while swimming will actually help us train all parts of our body. If our body is too used to one exercise, we will soon stop burning calories as the body is too used to it.

Fifth, do not use supplements to help you burn calories. Although supplements containing Ephedra can help us burn more calories while we work, it can cause heart rhythm problems and even lead to stroke in some people. Besides all these side effects, our appetite and weight will also come back when we stop taking Ephera.

Last, genetics is an important factor in determining whether we are fat or slim. Some people are born fat, while some will not get fat no matter how much they eat. That is why we say that the world is unfair. Follow some of the idiot proof ways and get to those great abs quick.

For you are seriously trying to slim your waistline, stop piling on the fats, get discipline, enforce determination and get your own personal health magazine washboard abs at http://www.trainthoseabs.info
