The Truth About Six Pack Abs Review - Is There Any Truth In Mike Geary's Book

It seems that every day we get an e-mail promising to make us rich, thin or show us how to develop the perfect set of six pack abs. Most of it is pure hype and if you fall for it, then I have a beautiful beach front property I want to sell you in the everglades...

Generally speaking, anytime you get an email saying they can show you how to achieve "six pack abs" you might as well click delete, most likely it will be a waste of time and money and your abs will remain hidden but folds of... well you catch my drift.

If it sounds like I have a cynical attitude, I do, more than once I've paid for an ebook that promised the moon (results) and only delivered a reflection (an empty promise). So when I looked at the book "The Truth About Six Pack Abs", I'll be honest, I figured it would be loaded with hype, and wouldn't accomplish anything close to what it said... I was dead wrong and I've got the abs to prove it... Yeah!

For me, when someone cut through the BS and tells the truth, they are someone I admire, that's the way I live my life. So when Mike Geary took a carefully aimed shot at the "diet industry", basically ripping them a new one... I sat up and took notice. For years we've been fed a line of... (you know what) telling us about diet pills and what they could do for us... WRONG! Now I'm no saint, and I've taken a diet pill (or many) over the years... and guess what... THEY WORKED. Yep just as long as I didn't mind popping pills, I'd keep losing weight. But what about when the pills ran out... then what? Well I tell you what, the weight crept back on, in fact I weighed more than when I started. From that moment on, I swore of pills and you should too.

The Truth About Six Pack Abs isn't full of hype, it doesn't promised anything that can't be accomplished by you, or anyone who DECIDES that now is the time to change their life for the better. Instead of hype, you'll learn how the average person, without resorting to extremes can lose weight, get healthy and stay in shape; now that's a plan.

This isn't some throw away book, you'll zip through then bury somewhere on your hard drive... NO WAY! You'll turn it time and time again... it's packed full and is over ONE HUNDRED PAGES, 106 pages to be exact. And each page gives you cutting edge information about getting in shape, staying in shape and training your abs.

It also discusses a few things you might not have considered; did you know that having excess stomach (abdominal) fat can be hazardous to your health? Yikes! I'm glad I found it, and you will be too, this book dives right in, not pulling any punches.

It's not myth, it's fact that if we keep ourselves health and stay lean and exercise, we have a good possibility of not only living longer, but remaining healthy enough to enjoy it; now that IS important. The Truth About Abs e-book isn't full of marketing hype, and it doesn't endorse the latest and greatest fad(s), it simply tells the truth about getting and staying ripped for life.

What's the final verdict of the truth about abs review?

For me... Before I found this book, not only was I a skeptic, I was also confused. About what? About all the fads, diets, crazes that are being peddled; it's malarkey, BS and while I certainly endorse freedom of speech, c'mon guys... give it break, tell the truth for once.

Well the truth is exactly where "The Truth About Six Pack Abs" rises to the occasion; showing you exactly what your body needs (and in what combinations) to perform at its optimum level. Folks... I'm all about health and fitness, and if something is BS, I'm going tell you, but this book is truly a break through and I encourage you to take a serious informed look.

Who needs this book? You do! I don't care of your man, woman or child, everyone can benefit form what you'll learn in "The Truth About Six Pack Abs". There's some mind blowing info inside these jammed pack 106 pages, information that can change you from a couch potato, to a lean mean ab ripping machine.

What do you have to lose by looking at this book? Not money, that for sure, like any reputable company, they offer GURARANTEED SATISFACTION, if it doesn't work (but it does) they'll give your money back.... But guys and gals, you're not going to want a refund, not when you look in the mirror and see that ripped set of six packs.

How To Tighten Your Abs

Using the exercise bench in your ab workouts crams in your abdominal muscles as tight as possible in a single area, thereby making the contractions in your crunches that much more intense and concentrated. Including this exercise in your line up will tone down the midsection, particularly the upper abdominal area. Doing the ab workouts by placing your feet on an exercise bench also takes the pressure off of your lower back. The ab workouts also help in keeping your hip flexors relaxed, so you could focus solely on the crunches in your abdomen.

Position your body for your ab workouts by lying on the floor with your back flat against it, then raise your legs and place your feet steady on top off the exercise bench (you may also use a stable chair if you want to improvise). In this form your knees should be bent at an angle of 90 degrees.

Place your hands on the sides of your head and prepare for the movement in your ab workouts by relaxing your body and taking a deep breath. Begin the ab workouts by pushing your lower back into the floor and curling your shoulders upward and in toward your knees, going as far as you comfortably can. Aim your elbows toward your knees and contract your abs for truly intense ab workouts!

Take note that while doing the ab workouts, your feet should be placed on top of the bench, and not wedged beneath it; in this form you can use them for leverage while you do the contractions. If you would also like some added variation in your ab workouts, you could try taking one hand off the side of your head and placing it on the obliques on the opposite side, and twist your body as you make your way up during your ab workouts.

How To Get Abs - Why Crunches Are Not Enough

If you're like many people, you may be thinking that doing hundreds of sit-ups or crunches every day is how to get abs, that rippling set of tight, six-pack stomach muscles everyone wants to have.

Or maybe you've tried one of those fancy abs machines advertised on TV and in stores, only to find that they haven't produced that gorgeous set of chiseled abdominal muscles you're looking for.

While crunches and abs machines might give you a powerful set of rippling muscle tissue around the middle of your body, they do nothing to eliminate the layer of fat that hides the labor of your hard work.

It's like a layer of fresh snow covering an evergreen tree. All of the rugged, well-defined features of the needles and branches lying hidden under a thick, white blanket of snow.

It's a beautiful picture when that blanket covers a tree.

It's not quite so beautiful when that blanket covers the muscles around your middle.

You may be thinking, "But if I just exercise my stomach area enough, I can certainly get rid of all the fat that's hanging out there."

Unfortunately, that's not how it works!

Scientific studies have discovered that you can't eliminate fat in one area of your body by spot exercising that single area.

That's just not how to get abs.

Building muscle is only half of the equation. What you need is something that will reduce the fat around your middle.

And the only way to do that is through your diet. You need to eat right to reduce your total body fat. But if you don't follow the right diet, you may end up shedding muscle instead of burning fat.

The difficulty with burning fat is this: If you just reduce the number of calories you eat each day -- but you don't do it the right way -- your body will react the wrong way and actually conserve fat. And it will burn through your muscle tissue to provide the calories you need to go about your daily activities.

The net result? You'll actually lose muscle and keep your fat.

Hard to believe. But it's true.

What happens is that a sudden reduction in caloric intake tricks your body into thinking that you are about to starve. And as a defense mechanism, your body switches into survival mode, a condition where it seeks to conserve calories in the form of fat -- the most efficient method of calorie storage. Essentially, it stores up calories for a rainy day.

So how to get abs requires a balanced equation of exercise and diet.

A popular program called Truth About Abs reveals the secrets you need to build your set of great looking abs. Don't let a lack of knowledge hold you back. Start today toward your better body.

How To Get 6 Pack Abs In 30 Days Without Doing Any Crunches

Oh come on, you can't tell me that I can get my ab section lean and mean without doing any crunches. But I heard that in order for me to get a chiseled mid-section all I have to do is several hundred crunches a day and I'll have a 6 pack that would even make Brad Pitt jealous.

I hate the break the news to you, but there is more to getting a sculpted middle than you are lead to believe. There are actually three steps involved; fat loss, targeted exercises and did I say fat loss? Before you even think about what type of exercises to do you have to honestly critique your current physical shape.

I want you to stand naked or in your underwear in front of a full length mirror, if you have one, and slowly turn around, watching yourself until your head almost unscrews from your body (only joking but you get the idea). Do you see a bit of a pudgy belly, a little jiggly around the middle or is your belly flat? If you answered that it's flat, then congratulations you can skip this next section on move right on the targeted exercises.

However, if you saw flab then you have got to work on getting rid of it before you can see any type of abs showing. You my friend, are like the majority of people in the world and will have to do some dieting and a bit of cardio to burn that fat off. I won't go into a full diet program here, you already know the drill; avoid junk food, rely on fruits, vegetables, non-fat dairy products, 100% whole grain breads and pasta, lean meats and drink plenty of water.

Don't starve yourself, but eat moderately and avoiding second helpings. Now cardio (another term for aerobics), will help burn off the current stores of fat you have. It can be as simple as brisk walking, not strolling but brisk walking, or you can get into kick-boxing, stepping, jogging or better yet, interval training. Just be sure to get the ok from your doctor just to make sure that you are healthy enough to push your body hard.

Now it's time for the targeted exercises that will tone and chisel.

The Bicycle. The bicycle, often called the reverse bicycle or prone bicycle will give you better results with less reps than crunches will.

  • Lying on your back, bend your knees in a 90 degree angle.

  • Place your hands lightly on your head with you fingers behind your ears and elbows facing outward.

  • Now pump your legs back and forth as though you were peddling a bicycle.

  • As you peddle, rotate your torso so that you lift your left shoulder towards right knee. Try not to pull with your elbows, but actually move your arm pit up and over reaching as you can.

  • Now try to get your right shoulder (arm pit) and left leg to come together as close as they can.

Each time you stretched both your left and right sides this will be considered one repetition. You should try to do 25 reps and 2 sets daily for the first three days. Then increase your reps and sets until you can complete a total of 100 reps per day. Now aren't these nicer than doing crunches? You can eventually add more reps but it usually isn't necessary since you will also be completing 50 push-aways, 25 bent leg knee raises, 25 flutter kicks, 15 V-ups and 15 Russian twists.

All in all you will be spending less time doing these exercises then you would doing 200 crunches, and these will give you quicker results. You will also find that you are much less bored and your ab workout will not seem as tedious. As with any exercise, it's always wise get a check up from your health care provider first and don't believe the phrase "no pain, no gain", if something hurts-stop. You want to show off your 6 pack abs and not a body cast.

Discover How to Use Abdominal Equipment the Right Way for Sculpting Tight, Sexy Abs

Stop wasting your money on useless informercial abdominal products. Learn how to effectively work your abs with the right ab equipment so you can finally develop a flat sexy waist with abs you can be proud to show off.

What ab equipment you need depends on how you go about training your abs. If you train your abs with the most people get ab exercise - lots of sets and reps - then you don't need much in the way of ab equipment. Performing sets of the basic floor crunch and reverse floor crunch are all you realy need. If these ab exercises are uncomfortable for you, then you may need some basic equipment just for comfort reasons.

Now, if you decide to train your abs properly, you'll most likely need some quality ab equipment. What do I mean by training your abs properly? Your abdominals are a muscle group, just like any other muscle group.

Let's take a look at some common misconceptions with regard to ab exercise and then we'll mention some ab equipment that actually works for you.

Is there anything out there in the fitness world suffering from more misinformation that how to get abs?

The number of ab machines constantly coming to market is mind boggling. Especially considering that they aren't needed and won't give you the results that you want.

Let's set the record straight on ab training right now and give you the real information you need so you can say no to the next infomercial ab machine and yes to actual abs.

  • Training your abs consistently will eventually give you the flat stomach or six-pack that you want.

No. It's not gonna happen if your abs are covered by a layer of body fat and doing endless sets of ab exercises is not the way to rid yourself of that excess body fat.

  • Train your abs everyday for best results.

Again, no. Your abs are a muscle, just like your chest, lats, arms and so on. You should train your abs just like these other muscles, with progressive resistance and high intensity - then allow them to rest and recover. Never train your abs more than 3 days a week.

  • You need to do hundreds or reps and feel the burn to get great abs.

Yep, again the answer is no. The abs a muscle just like I mentioned above. To get six pack abs you need to strip off the fat, but you also need to build the abs to get them to really pop out.

If the muscle isn't developed, you'll just have a flat stomach but no abs. The name of the game is progressive resistance for sets of 8 - 20 reps, just like your other muscles.

  • Train the abs with lots of sets and high reps to burn off stomach fat.

You guessed it. This is also false. Spot reduction just isn't going to happen as much as we'd all like it to. You can't burn fat on your stomach by doing endless crunches.

In order to do the proper ab exercise and develop a flat, toned, tight midsection, you need to follow these rules. And that means working your abs with progressive resistance weight training, just like your other muscles.

You need to put together a proper weight lifting program, nutrition plan, and cardio in order to rid your stomach of that stubborn layer of fat and bring yout your abs
