Six Pack Abs Diet - 4 Top Nutrition Tips For Six Pack Abs

There are so many fad diets for weight loss on the market that consumers are confused about which one to follow. Most of these diets tend to limit the consumption of a particular macronutrient (protein, carbs or fat) or food group. However, your body needs all macronutrients to function efficiently. Every fad diet claims to be "the" most effective for fat loss and yet, none seems agree with each other on the best way to eat for fat loss and overall good health.

The truth is you don't need to follow any of the extreme diets such as low carb, low fat, high protein, cabbage soup, etc, in order to lose belly fat for visible six pack abs.

While people may experienced initial weight loss with these diets, they typically lose water and lean muscle, which will sabotage their metabolism. As a result, they gain body fat back in the long run.

In view of the confusion, eating a balanced, natural and wholesome diet is the way to healthy fat loss and overall well-being. Your body needs protein, fats, carbs, vitamins and minerals to function efficiently. By eating natural and unprocessed foods, you don't crave for junk or processed foods.

Here are 4 six pack abs diet and nutrition tips for losing belly fat visible abs...

1. Consume sufficient lean protein in your daily diet. Protein has the highest thermic effect (calories burned from digestion) compared to carbs and fats. It is recommended to include a portion of protein with each meal, to help to moderate blood sugar response to ingested carbs and provide satiety. In addition, protein is essential for building and maintaining lean muscle. The amount of lean muscle you have is one of the determinants of your metabolic rate.

2. Your carbohydrate intake should consist of high fiber sources like vegetables, fruits and whole unrefined grains. Fiber satisfies your hunger for longer period of time, gives you steady energy levels and reduce cravings. Refined carbs must be avoided as they trigger higher insulin levels and fluctuating blood sugar levels. Thus, you crave for more carbs and this makes it more difficult to lose body fat. Look for carbohydrate sources that have at least 2-3 grams of fiber per each 10 grams of total carbs.

3. Eating the right fat can make you lean! Healthy dietary fats are essential for optimal hormone production and balance, muscle building and fat burning. Good sources of healthy dietary fats include avocados, fish, seeds, nuts and olive oil. Avoid man-made, processed, chemically altered fats that are found in most processed foods. When these damaged fats form part of your cell membranes, they impair cellular function and cause degenerative diseases. These unhealthy fats are found in hydrogenated oils, refined oils and homogenized milk fat.

4. The following 2 evil substances are present in huge quantities in our food supply:

- high fructose corn syrup (in sweetened products such as sodas, fruit juices, sweetened beverages, cakes, cookies, salad dressings and ketchup)

- trans fat (hydrogenated oils, margarine and shortening found in most processed foods)

AVOID them as much as possible. Both highly processed substances promote fat storage and cause other health problems. By choosing wholesome, natural foods and avoiding processed foods, you can simply eliminate these 2 evil substances from your diet.

By following these 4 six pack abs diet and nutrition tips, you'll be able to gain control over your appetite, blood sugar levels, hormone levels, etc. Eventually, you will gain control over how lean you want to get and be showing off those six pack abs in no time!

Best Way To Lose Stomach Fat And Get Six-Pack Abs

If you were to ask a group of people what part of their body needs the most work, they would all say their stomach. Everybody wants six pack abs but most people have a hard time getting them because they can't get rid of the stubborn layer of fat that covers their abdominal muscles. No matter how many stomach crunches they do, six pack abs will not show unless they change their eating habits and start an interval exercise routine.

Eating Plan

Instead of eating three meals a day, eat six smaller meals with fist-sized portions. Get enough quality protein daily. Protein has a high thermic effect so you burn calories digesting it. Plus it's a building block for maintaining and building lean muscle, which is an important factor for controlling your metabolism.

Not all carbs are bad. Good carbs are high in fiber like vegetables, fruits, and unrefined grains. Avoid all refined sugars and refined grains these wreck havoc on your metabolism and keep you fat. Remember, fiber helps to fill you up and it slows down the glycemic response of the foods you eat, all beneficial for getting and staying lean.

Eating fat does not make you fat. Not eating enough fat can have a negative affect on hormone levels in your body as well as causing more cravings. Eat healthy fats like nuts and seeds, nut butters, avocados, olive oil, organic meats and eggs, coconuts and virgin coconut oil. Avoid artificial trans fats from margarines, shortening, and hydrogenated oils that are in most processed foods.

Exercise Routine

The key to a good routine is variety and combining short bursts of intense action with longer periods of less strenuous movements. Such as:

Jumping exercises - squat jumps, box jumps, lunge jumps, and broad jumps are some of the best exercises to include in your routine. Squat jumps are known to produce considerable amounts of testosterone and that means more muscle and less fat on your entire body, not just your legs. And you can't beat rope jumping as a great full body exercise. Once you get good, you can jump rope much faster, which will allow you to get a more intense workout. The goal is speed when rope skipping. Try mixing together two legged jumps, one-legged jumps, and arm crossovers to keep things interesting and increase the intensity. Now alternate 15-20 second high intensity bursts where you jump as fast as you possibly can, followed by 15-20 second recovery intervals where you jump slowly to get ready for your next burst and repeat.

Swimming is a great full body workout when you swim as hard as you can to the other side of a 25-meter or 50-meter pool. Rest enough to catch your breath between sprint swims (about 20-40 seconds). You can also mix different strokes (crawl, breaststroke, sidestroke, backstroke, butterfly) on each swim sprint. Swimming pumps up the upper body without any soreness the next day.

Using an exercise ball will target virtually every muscle in the body. To work the abs, sit on the ball with your feet flat on the ground. Slowly lean back until your thighs and torso are parallel with the floor. You'll need to roll forwards or backwards to see what position is most comfortable. Next contract your abdominals and raise your torso to about 45 degrees. Slowly return to the starting position. To bring more of the oblique muscles in, you can simply move your feet closer together alternate twisting to each side.

How To Get 6 Pack Abs In 30 Days Without Doing Any Crunches

Oh come on, you can't tell me that I can get my ab section lean and mean without doing any crunches. But I heard that in order for me to get a chiseled mid-section all I have to do is several hundred crunches a day and I'll have a 6 pack that would even make Brad Pitt jealous.

I hate the break the news to you, but there is more to getting a sculpted middle than you are lead to believe. There are actually three steps involved; fat loss, targeted exercises and did I say fat loss? Before you even think about what type of exercises to do you have to honestly critique your current physical shape.

I want you to stand naked or in your underwear in front of a full length mirror, if you have one, and slowly turn around, watching yourself until your head almost unscrews from your body (only joking but you get the idea). Do you see a bit of a pudgy belly, a little jiggly around the middle or is your belly flat? If you answered that it's flat, then congratulations you can skip this next section on move right on the targeted exercises.

However, if you saw flab then you have got to work on getting rid of it before you can see any type of abs showing. You my friend, are like the majority of people in the world and will have to do some dieting and a bit of cardio to burn that fat off. I won't go into a full diet program here, you already know the drill; avoid junk food, rely on fruits, vegetables, non-fat dairy products, 100% whole grain breads and pasta, lean meats and drink plenty of water.

Don't starve yourself, but eat moderately and avoiding second helpings. Now cardio (another term for aerobics), will help burn off the current stores of fat you have. It can be as simple as brisk walking, not strolling but brisk walking, or you can get into kick-boxing, stepping, jogging or better yet, interval training. Just be sure to get the ok from your doctor just to make sure that you are healthy enough to push your body hard.

Now it's time for the targeted exercises that will tone and chisel.

The Bicycle. The bicycle, often called the reverse bicycle or prone bicycle will give you better results with less reps than crunches will.

  • Lying on your back, bend your knees in a 90 degree angle.

  • Place your hands lightly on your head with you fingers behind your ears and elbows facing outward.

  • Now pump your legs back and forth as though you were peddling a bicycle.

  • As you peddle, rotate your torso so that you lift your left shoulder towards right knee. Try not to pull with your elbows, but actually move your arm pit up and over reaching as you can.

  • Now try to get your right shoulder (arm pit) and left leg to come together as close as they can.

Each time you stretched both your left and right sides this will be considered one repetition. You should try to do 25 reps and 2 sets daily for the first three days. Then increase your reps and sets until you can complete a total of 100 reps per day. Now aren't these nicer than doing crunches? You can eventually add more reps but it usually isn't necessary since you will also be completing 50 push-aways, 25 bent leg knee raises, 25 flutter kicks, 15 V-ups and 15 Russian twists.

All in all you will be spending less time doing these exercises then you would doing 200 crunches, and these will give you quicker results. You will also find that you are much less bored and your ab workout will not seem as tedious. As with any exercise, it's always wise get a check up from your health care provider first and don't believe the phrase "no pain, no gain", if something hurts-stop. You want to show off your 6 pack abs and not a body cast.

Why You Do Not have Killer Abs or that 6 Pack Abdominal Muscle

Ask any woman what is the most attractive part of a male body and most of the time, they will tell you it's the six pack abs, meaning that your abdominal muscle showing up with beautiful definition. Your abs is considered by many as a sexy muscle and is a symbol of a fit and healthy man. Women are instinctively drawn towards a man brimming with health and fitness because it is a primitive indication that the man is strong enough to protect her and her brood. A rippling six pack abs is one such indication. So is it any wonder that in every gym, you will see men of all ages doing crunches, leg raisers and sit ups religiously in the hope of obtaining the much coveted killer abs? Unfortunately, most men will never get to see their abdominal muscle in its glorious splendor. Why? The following fitness tip will show you why.

You may not like what I am going to give to you straight in the face here. But I will give it to you anyway. So here it goes. Listen up carefully. You may do a zillion crunches a day, then another another million leg raisers , but as long as there is a layer of fat covering your tummy, you will never see your abs because it is covered by the blubber of fat. In fact, your waistline will become bigger because you are adding muscles underneath those fats! So instead of having a slim waistline and showing off your abs, you will have a bigger waistline and thicker love handles. Now get this straight. There is no such thing as spot reduction! Once the fats are off, your abs will show. That I promise you. It is just that simple to display your abs. Lose fats! That's all.

Late night TV commercials or magazines has been telling you that you can have well defined abs by using this gadget or that electronic gizmo. Do you really believe that it is that simple? If it is so, then everyone will have that six pack abs in no time, won't they? Then why isn't that so? Because it just doesn't work that way.

To lose fat effectively and permanently for your abdominal muscles to show, you must include a mildly deficit calorie restriction diet, frequent cardio workouts and strength training with weights to build muscle so as to raise your metabolism in order to lose weight and burn fat naturally. Your weight loss goals will not be achieved effectively or permanently if any one of these three elements is done wrongly or not even incorporated in your slimming program. I repeat the three elements again :-

A mildly caloric deficit diet - A mildly caloric deficit diet to help you lose weight.

Frequent cardio workouts - Frequent cardio workout to exercise your heart and lungs and burn fat at the same time.

Weight Lifting to build muscles - Build muscles to burn fat permanently as muscles use up more calories from your food for energy. Lifting weights will also give you a well toned body and help your abs to show.

Forget about any fad diets or popping slimming pills . These may work initially but in the long run, they are bound to fail.

Now supposing that you are successful in your lose weight lose fat program and have very little fat covering your torso but yet you do not have well defined abs....what happened? You are doing your exercises wrongly or in poor form. More about exercise techniques and form in future articles.
