An Ideal Healthy Nutrional Abs Dieting Plan

There is enough variation in the suggested foods in the abs diet for every person, and for every craving. Particular of these foods in the abs diet are 12 of the more beneficial ones, which, when properly incorporated into a meal plan, will give the body a well-balanced nutritional overhaul. Consequently, it is designed to fulfill several aims for the body, aims which differ from other known diet programs in the sense that they are thoroughly beneficial in the long run, and not mere quick fix, guilt-easing starving sessions.

The abs diet intends to build muscle through a sufficient protein intake. An increase protein leads to better muscle mass, which is the key to a leaner body, since the muscles give it its definition. The abs diet also promotes weight loss because all of its meal suggestions are low on fat and sugar, the culprits of obesity and a host of other complications.

There is also enough calcium to ensure that the bones are well taken care of; these minerals come from suggested portions of cheeses, milk, and vegetables. Since there is less fat in the meals, you will also be free from the preliminary causes of high blood pressure, and prevents you from developing heart disease and clogged arteries.

It has been proven that sufficient amounts of certain vegetables can help fight cancer, and this supports this fact by including a variety of veggies, such as carrots which contain beta-carotene and tomatoes which are rich in lycopene; these nutrients are known to help in the fight against certain forms of cancer.

Vegetables, fruit, and healthy protein also help in the strengthening of the immune system, so that you have the drive to keep on going throughout your program. Finally, the abs diet also has enough amount of dietary fiber in the meals to see to it that your body's accumulated toxins are effectively dealt with.

Deciding to lose the excess baggage

It is important for you to have a firm decision to lose your excess fat. This will help you to persevere, until you have reached the leaner body you have always wanted.

Eating a balanced diet

Losing weight does not necessarily mean that you have to miss meals and following fad diets. Eating a healthy and balanced diet is all you need to get that leaner body you have been dreaming about. You have to introduce healthier foods in your body and gradually reduce or eventually phase-out unhealthy foods.

Weight Lifting & Abdominal Training to sculpt your body

Week 1

Start light. Concentrate on taking on a whole body workout per session using lighter weights with up to 8 repetitions/set. Do 3 sets - with 1 exercise per body part, including the abs. Do this 3 times a week.

Week 2

Go with moderate weights. Do whole body workout still with the same repetitions, sets and exercises per body part. The abs should have 3 exercises with 3 sets each at 8 reps/set. Do this 4 times a week.

Week 3

Same set-up with week 2 - Use moderate weights still but there should be an increase in repetitions per set, preferably 12 reps/set. The abs should still have the 3 exercises, 3 sets each at 12 reps/set. Do this 3 to 4 times a week.

Week 4

Continue using moderate weights for a whole body workout per session with up to 12 reps/set - 3 sets - with 2 exercises per body part with limited resting period in between sets. For the abs, do the same for week 3. Do this 3 times a week.

Running towards a leaner body

One of the top activities that people can do to burn fat is running. Compared to any other cardiovascular activities, running can burn more calories per minute.

Running not only helps you lose weight but can also fight aging and generally makes you stay healthy. This exercise are also known to release happy hormones that makes one feel good.

Swimming for a total body workout

When you go for a total body workout, swimming can be one of your choices. This is usually known as a demanding exercise as you have to use all of your major muscle groups. It has different strokes like backstroke, free style, butterfly and breaststroke - which all involves the movement of arms and legs.

Swimming, which helps reduce fat, can also improve your muscles' strength and flexibility, enhance your body figure, your blood circulation, and can take away stress. This is a very good alternative to other fat-burning exercises in your program. Once or twice a week of swimming will be great.

Monitoring your progress·

Once you have achieved the leaner body you wanted, there is a need for you to monitor your weight. You may want to maintain a progress chart so you will have clearer view of your improvement.

You also have to monitor your eating habits, the quality of food you are taking in and the calories you are consuming per meal. Waist measurements are also indicators of any improvement resulting from your efforts. Your physical activities and the total calories burned per session may be recorded as well.

Abs and Exercise

Your abdominal muscles are the same as any other muscles in your body. They work similarly to your biceps, triceps and hamstrings, so why is it that we treat them so differently? Abs cover a large part of your body and a well defined midsection says, "I'm in shape."

Because of the way the body works, most people store a large portion of their body fat in the midsection. If you have a perfect set of abs covered by a layer of fat, no one will be impressed with your hard work. Getting abs is a two step process. Step 1: lower your body fat. Step 2: build up your abs with sit ups and crunches.

To lower your body fat, you need to take the same steps you would if you were looking to lose weight. Exercise-wise you need to engage in some sort of cardio. Cardio can be almost anything you enjoy doing.

If you want to go to the gym you can run on a treadmill, ride a bike, use the elliptical or rowing machine. There are plenty of options to choose from.

If you'd rather save some money and do cardio outside of a gym there is more than enough to keep you busy. Running, biking, walking, swimming, sports and any type of work (yard work, house work...) is good cardio as long as you do it on a regular basis at a high enough intensity. Read more on cardio guidelines.

Once you have your cardio in order, you need to begin targeting your abdominal muscles. If you have a high body fat percentage with a nice set of abdominal muscles, chances are you won't see anything impressive. On the other hand, if you have a low body fat percentage and you never work on your abs, there will be nothing to show off. You want to include your abs in your workout just as you do all your other muscles.

Don't go into the gym everyday with the goal of killing your abs. Remember that to grow or improve their appearance, muscles need time to rest and heal. If you're doing hundreds of crunches or sit ups everyday, you'll never see an improvement. Its like picking at a scab, it can't heal.

If you choose to work on your abs every time you go to the gym, don't go till failure on every set. Do 3-6 sets on a lighter weight and move on to another muscle group. If you only work on your abs once or twice a week then you can do more sets and you can do them till failure. Failure means that the last repetition you do is really the last one you could physically do. Find a weight with which you can perform between 8 and 12 reps.

Abs can't appear overnight. You need to get your exercise as well as your diet in check before you see any progress.

Review of Truth About 6 Pack Abs Book

Before you even think about buying Mike Geary's book, The Truth About 6 Pack Abs, make sure you read this article.

Now, I'm not going to lie, most books that you will ever read regarding acquiring the ultimate set of Abs are nothing but absolute crap and once you have read one of them, you have pretty much read all of them. Most of them tell you the basic stuff, like do your crunches and your cardio and that fat will come right off. Well the truth of the matter is, is that by doing just these things you aren't going to obtain the ultimate set of Abs that you so desperately desire. Of course they will be an improved set of Abs but they definitely won't be what you had in mind.

When I first went over to Mike's site and read his sale page I most definitely thought it was another load of crap that was just a bunch of hype, but because I've been hearing a lot about it lately I decided to make the purchase anyway. It also helped that he has a 100% 8 week money back guarantee if I wasn't satisfied with it.

Fortunately, I was pleasantly surprised by the useful and meaty information that I found inside this 106 page book that didn't just tell me to eat my fruits and vegetables and do my crunches and, viola, all my problems would be solved.

Instead, I found that Mike confronts popular myths that people believe when it comes to flattening your midsection. He also goes into detail with PROPER exercises you should be doing and he discusses diet and possible meal plans you should be following; however, most of the book focuses on Ab exercises and strength training, which is where a lot of people mess up when it comes to achieving an awesome set of Abs.

It is strength training your core area that is going to give you your phenomenal Abs and Mike show's you exactly how you go about doing this.

Mike begins the book by going over the abdominal areas in your midsection which is vitally important to understand because a lot of people are doing the wrong exercises for a area they are TRYING to target. Little do they know that they are missing the mark. Then Mike follows up the rest of the book with various different exercises you should be implementing into your daily routine. He also, gives you little tricks along the way that will make your workouts the most effective.

So, If you really desire an awesome set of Abs, the truth about 6 pack Abs book comes highly recommended.

Since I have started utilizing the exercises in the book I have noticed a massive difference in my core area. To get the book you can go to http://www.reviewsomefat.com and order it from there.

Take The Low Approach To Great Abs:

Not only are rock hard abs a symbol of fitness, but strong and flexible abdominal muscles help trim your waist and end back pain. Two very important health goals of many who enter an exercise facility. It allows you to move from side to side with stability and control. Men and women want to walk on the beach and show off all their hard work by exposing their abs. From what has been seen in gym and health facilities, it is most worked on muscle group or it is the most neglected. What category do you end up falling into? There are many ways in which you can work you abdominal muscles. There is scientific sequence to effectively shaping and creating great abs.

Most people are stronger in their upper to middle abdominals compared to their lower abdominal muscles. It is recommended that you work your lower abs first since you are freshest and have the most energy to get the most out of your stomach. The abdominal muscles react and provide optimal results visually when performed to failure. Failure occurs when the muscle is thoroughly exhausted and the exercise can no longer be executed. This means you can not do one more painful repetition. Your mid-section should be worked in this manner all the time.

Some examples for lower abs are as follows:

The reverse crunch (using the slant board) - with your hand holding the bars and your legs straight on the floor, raise your knees to your face, while bending your knees, until the fetal position. Then slowly drop your rear end until you touch the board and repeat the exercise.

Leg lifts (performed on the Roman Chair) - Start with your back on the back support and lift your knees/legs to its highest point. Feet should not be allowed to swing behind your rear end at its lowest point for safety and momentum purposes.

Hanging leg raises (performed on the cable machines) - Start by hanging from the middle pull up bar on the cable machines. The hanging leg raise is probably the most result producing stomach exercise since it is generated from the lower abs and then incorporated the upper abs at its peak. It begins by having your feet lift over and above your waist until it reached approximately where your hands are holding on. Remember to keep you body from swinging back and forth. This will cause you to use more stomach muscles and less momentum.

Then proceed to your upper/middle abs to get that desired burn.

The Ab Roller, which is great for upper abdominals and obliques, is great to start with since it promotes safety and immediate results. Exercises utilizing the ball and floor mats are great ways to end a stomach workout. The utility ball allows for maximum stretching to hit all areas of the mid-section.

Since your stomach is considered your smallest muscle, you are able - and recommended to - train them up to 6 days per week. A cardiovascular work out which consist of constant aerobic activity which last for more than 30 minutes at your 80% target heart rate is extremely beneficial and necessary to achieve that ever desired six pack.

Great abs are only obtained through hard work, perseverance and proper form. They are the central point in which your motion begins and ends. In the end, great abs will give you the needed support for your workout and your life.
