The Grand Plan For Those Sexy Abs In 30 Days

Achieving Sexy Abs is something that requires a planned effort. Here is a grand plan that will enable you to do this:

Deciding to lose the excess baggage

It is important for you to have a firm decision to lose your excess fat. This will help you to persevere, until you have reached the leaner body you have always wanted.

Eating a balanced diet

Losing weight does not necessarily mean that you have to miss meals and following fad diets. Eating a healthy and balanced diet is all you need to get that leaner body you have been dreaming about. You have to introduce healthier foods in your body and gradually reduce or eventually phase-out unhealthy foods.

Weight Lifting & Abdominal Training to sculpt your body

Week 1

Start light. Concentrate on taking on a whole body workout per session using lighter weights with up to 8 repetitions/set. Do 3 sets - with 1 exercise per body part, including the abs. Do this 3 times a week.

Week 2

Go with moderate weights. Do whole body workout still with the same repetitions, sets and exercises per body part. The abs should have 3 exercises with 3 sets each at 8 reps/set. Do this 4 times a week.

Week 3

Same set-up with week 2 - Use moderate weights still but there should be an increase in repetitions per set, preferably 12 reps/set. The abs should still have the 3 exercises, 3 sets each at 12 reps/set. Do this 3 to 4 times a week.

Week 4

Continue using moderate weights for a whole body workout per session with up to 12 reps/set - 3 sets - with 2 exercises per body part with limited resting period in between sets. For the abs, do the same for week 3. Do this 3 times a week.

Running towards a leaner body

One of the top activities that people can do to burn fat is running. Compared to any other cardiovascular activities, running can burn more calories per minute.

Running not only helps you lose weight but can also fight aging and generally makes you stay healthy. This exercise are also known to release happy hormones that makes one feel good.

Swimming for a total body workout

When you go for a total body workout, swimming can be one of your choices. This is usually known as a demanding exercise as you have to use all of your major muscle groups. It has different strokes like backstroke, free style, butterfly and breaststroke - which all involves the movement of arms and legs.

Swimming, which helps reduce fat, can also improve your muscles' strength and flexibility, enhance your body figure, your blood circulation, and can take away stress. This is a very good alternative to other fat-burning exercises in your program. Once or twice a week of swimming will be great.

Monitoring your progress·

Once you have achieved the leaner body you wanted, there is a need for you to monitor your weight. You may want to maintain a progress chart so you will have clearer view of your improvement.

You also have to monitor your eating habits, the quality of food you are taking in and the calories you are consuming per meal. Waist measurements are also indicators of any improvement resulting from your efforts. Your physical activities and the total calories burned per session may be recorded as well.

The 2 Healthy Fitness Tips that Burn More Fat and Dish Out More Washboard Abs than All Others

You've heard that you should exercise...?

That working out is the "most important thing" you can do to experience fast weight loss...

But I tell you...What's the point if you don't see results?

It amazes me how many people kill themselves day in and day trying to sweat those pounds off, but never see any results...Yet they would never dream of stopping! You can call it persistence...I call it foolish! It's absolutely crazy to keep doing the same things without seeing any results!

Do you want to lose weight fast, shred that disgusting body fat and reclaim your figure?

There are 2 healthy fitness tips that can transform your body at lightning speed! The only catch...You have to be willing to change your old ways!

If you have the will, here is the way...

Timing is Everything
Have you ever considered what would be the best time to burn fat? The vast majority of those who try to lose weight tend to exercise later into their day. Consider this...The problem with trying to sweat it out later in the day is that you have eaten before you exercise. As a result, your body uses much of what you have just eaten for energy instead of your fat supplies! If you want to burn fat at your optimal rate the best time to exercise is in the morning, before you eat anything. At this time your body has just went six or more hours without food and your stomach is empty. As a result your body is forced to rely more heavily on your body fat for energy...You will burn more of that disgusting flab.

There is an Order to Things
Are your workouts one sided? The vast majority of those who want to lose weight walk or jog? They never get involved with strength training exercises like lifting weights. The optimal fat burning workouts combine both strength training and cardiovascular training. For example, a great workout for shredding flab would be to lift weights for 20 minutes and then jog for 10 minutes. Lifting weights is an anaerobic exercise...It causes your body to burn primarily glycogen and other related carbohydrates. If you lift weights before you jog your body will have to dip more heavily into your fat reserves because you have just burned up all of the other energy reserves with the weight training.

These 2 healthy fitness tips are very easy to follow. Begin this moment to implement them into each day and you will notice very fast results...Guaranteed!

Advanced Workouts For Your Full Body - Abs And Core

I was a US Army solider not too long ago. I just got out in August of 2007. While I was in the Army, we were always looking for high intensity workouts with some work for abs, core, and full body to take our team of soldiers to a new level of fitness in preparation for our PT testing.

Basically, we had reached a plateau in our training and needed something really high intensity to take us to the next level. I’m going to share this workout with you!

Keep in mind that this workout uses bodyweight-only exercises, however, it is VERY intense and for people looking for advanced fitness levels, you should try this out.

With that said, keep in mind that if you're not yet at an advanced level, you can still use this by simply using the basic format of the workout, and just do less of whatever exercises you struggle with, or choose an easier alternate exercise that's similar.

Here goes...

We're going to keep the intensity super high here and use the whole body. Keep rest periods short, and use full-body multi-joint movements as much as possible.

I'll give you a killer workout idea below that not only incorporates abs and entire core, but the entire body as well in an intense fashion. Not sure what (if any) equip you have available, so I'll give you a great workout that's bodyweight based. Here's an example to take you through:

Start with a 2-3 min warm-up of light jogging, jumping jacks, or jump rope.

Then, move through these exercises in circuit fashion, one right after the other with only 10 seconds rest between each (repeat the circuit 3-5 times for a killer total body workout):

1. Bodyweight squats - 12 reps

-Position your feet slightly wider then hip-width apart with your toes slightly turned out.

-Hold your hands out in front of you at shoulder height. This will counter balance your weight and help you keep your balance

-Slowly and under control bend your knees and lower yourself down as far as you can without lifting your heels off the floor and then after a brief pause at the bottom push your weight back up until you are back at the starting position.

2. Plyometric pushups (clapping) - 10 reps

-Lower yourself into the standard push up position.

-Lower yourself to the ground and push up explosively so the hands leave the ground

-Clap once and return to the starting position

3. Walking lunges up 6 steps and back down 6 steps

4. Floor mountain climbers for 30 seconds

-Stand with your arms by your sides, feet together.

-Bend down and put your hands shoulder width apart on the floor.

-Place yourself in the basic push-up position with your arms in line with your chest and your legs extended outward.

-Rest on the balls of your feet while bringing one leg (for this example we'll say left leg) forward to your chest and back to its original position. Keep the right leg tucked during the forward and back movement of the left leg.

-Check to be sure your bent leg and hands carry the weight of your body and that you hold your head up during the back and forth leg movements.

-Repeat the motion described in Step 4 rapidly, alternating one leg forward and one leg back. This movement mimics the "climbing of a mountain."

-Repeat as many times as you can. Remember to inhale and exhale steadily during the entire mountain climber exercise.

5. Lunge jumps - 6 reps to each side

-This jump starts off by standing with your feet next to one another.

-Bend your knees and jump up as high as you can and perform a hip-flexion with one leg and bending the back leg knee.

-Before landing bring the feet next to one another.

-With the next jump up, alternate the legs.

6. Lying leg thrusts (abs) on floor - 12 reps

-Lie on your back.

-Perform a lying leg raise.

-Thrust your heels to the ceiling, breathe out; keep contracting the lower abs so that you are raising your torso.

-Lower out of the thrust back to your initial position, leaving your feet straight up.

- Lower your legs back to the starting position.

7. Squat jumps - 8 reps

-Stand with your legs in a normal squat position.

-Lower your body down so that your thighs are parallel to the ground.

-Explode into the air as high as possible. When you land, lower your body quickly into the parallel squat position.

-Hold this position for one second and repeat for the required number of repetitions.

-Upon landing, your feet should be in a strong, dorsi-flexed or "toes up" position. Use your whole foot to land and generate power, not just your toes! Maintain good posture in your upper body. Keep your chest and head up. Don't let your shoulders lean out beyond your knees. This can stress your lower back.

8. Side plank hold 30 seconds one side, then 30 sec opposite side

-Lift your body of the ground and balance on one forearm and the side of your foot.

-Contract your abdominals and relax your shoulders. And breath.

-No movement, just hold that position ... keep holding.

Rest 2 min after each circuit; repeat circuit 3-5x

Develop A Strong Core And Six Pack Abs Without Situps!

As a London Personal Trainer I often get asked how to develop a strong core and 6 pack stomach muscles. It seems that so many people are still practicing old exercises and cranking out hundreds of situps on a daily basis in the hope of reducing stomach fat and developing their 6 pack abs.

Doing regular sit ups or crunches will not only give you back problems but doesn’t really help in develping your core and revealing your stomach muscles. Our core / stomach muscles are more complex than you may think and need to be worked in three different planes of motion for optimal results. Doing regular situps and crunches is both unnatural and only addresses one plane of movement, and it’s not very good at doing that.

As well as taking the core / stomach muscles through 3 different planes of movement the body fat covering the abdominals must also be addressed. Forget the old wives tale about spot reducing fat, this simply isn’t the case, hundreds of situps won’t burn stomach fat - fat naturally comes off in layers from all over the body. The only way to reduce stomach fat is with a good total body exercise programme and by eating a healthy diet.

Remember that we all have stomach muscles waiting to be seen under our belly fat but in order to increase their size and make them more visable they need to be trained like any other body part. So, a combination of the correct abdominal / core exercises, a healthy diet and a good all over body routine will bring your 6 pack abs out for all to see.

I have found the following 6 exercises to be the best for stabalising your core and reducing potential back pain whilst bringing your abdominals / obliques to the surface.

Bird dog, Front plank, Side plank, Mountain climbers (front, out and inwards).

For full details of these exercises with photos please visit my site below.
