Full Body Dumbbell Workout Best For Six Pack Abs

In my opinion, a full body dumbbell workout is the best exercise program for developing six pack abs. Unfortunately, hardly anyone uses dumbbells to develop strong abdominals you can see. In this article, I'll show you the error of your ways.

Carving out six pack abs you can see is a strong motivating force for many a man and woman. But the problem is, the desire is so strong people often don't think rationally when putting a plan into action. They want six pack abs, and they want them yesterday. This leads to making poor decisions, which often lead to a lot of wasted time and money.

I'll be honest with you...

- Those gadgets you see on late night television don't work
- "Isolating" your abs are ineffective for your goal and a waste of time
- Anything that claims to be "fast and easy" is a waste of money

Getting a six pack is just like any other goal. Stop letting emotion drive your decisions. Let's take a deep breath and look at this logically. I'm sure once we do this, you'll conclude that a full body dumbbell workout is your best bet for a six pack you can see, as I have.

There are three things you must do if you want to see your six pack:

1) You must build muscle all over your body
2) You must strengthen your core muscles
3) You must lose fat

If you do all three of these things, you'll develop abdominals you can see.

Building muscle all over your body not only helps you look better, but muscle is metabolically expensive. This means your body must use more calories to maintain a higher percentage of muscle, and therefore leaves less calories to be converted into fat. So, you not only build an attractive body, but also create a situation where the bigger muscles help you reach your goal of a visible six pack. A full body dumbbell workout builds muscles all over your body.

Obviously, stronger and bigger abdominal muscles are necessary to achieve the abdominal look you desire. But stop relying on "isolation" exercises like crunches and leg raises to get the job done. A dumbbell workout puts emphasis on the core muscles with every exercise. This means every exercise is an ab exercise.

No matter how much muscle you put on or how strong and big your abdominal muscles, no one will ever see them if they are covered with fat. You must get rid of the fat around your middle to make the muscles underneath visible. And a dumbbell workout, done correctly, burns a lot of fat.

Think of it this way. You want to perform a workout that builds muscle, strengthens the core and burns fat at the same time. This is the most effective method for getting the result you want. If your entire workout does these three things, it is the fastest way to build abs you can see.

So, spend more time doing a full body dumbbell workout instead of doing those "isolation" exercises and you'll build more muscle, strengthen your core and burn off more fat. This is what you need to spend your time doing if you ever hope to see your six pack. So, pick up a pair of dumbbells and get busy!

How To Get Abs

Focusing on how to get abs is definitely one of the most coveted and sought after goals of most people. The truth is that it's not that difficult to get abs - especially since they're actually already there, but just covered by a layer of fat and water. The secret to getting abs is working off the fat that surrounds your abs - and this requires a combination of the right balanced fat burning diet, the right weight training routines and the best abdominal training program you can find. It also will require some dedication and patience. It's important to remember to keep going if you don't see results. You will see results, eventually, and they will surprise you. If you give up, you certainly won't see any results at all!

Diet? Just What Kind of a Diet?

The minute we see the word 'diet' we tend to groan and give up already. The fact is, though, that working off the fat that's hiding our abdominal muscles must come with a proper diet. Professional bodybuilders and fitness trainers tend to go so far as to say that 80% of our physique is due to diet, rather than a lack of exercise. Of course, exercise is important (and fun, too) but diet is even more important.

For abdominal training, the kind of diet you need to go on is actually not so bad at all. It really consists of 40% carbs (such as oatmeal, brown rice, sweet potatoes), 40% proteins (such as chicken, tuna, lean red meats and turkey) and 20% good fats (from mono-unsaturated or poly-unsaturated sources, such as virgin olive oil.) As you can see, this is actually quite a normal diet, and nothing too complex or life changing. During your extensive work out period (in the beginning) it's also a good idea to avoid fruit and dairy, due to the fact that these foods can often slow down fat loss.

Typically, if you're a guy, you start seeing your abs when you have just below a 10% ratio of body fat. If you're a woman, it's usually below 13% body fat. This doesn't mean you won't see significant results sooner.

Abs Exercises?

Yes, and they're generally quite fun. There's a whole range of exercises that you can use, and the important thing to remember about abdominal exercises is that your abs are designed for function, not for being built up. This means that ab exercises ought to be functional - such as crunches, or leg lifts, sit-ups etc. Your abs are there to allow your body to move and bend forwards, sidewards and backwards. By understanding how your abs work, you are able to find effective training methods.

Also, because of the way your abs work, doing the same exercise over and over does not tend to be as effective as you would hope. Your abs strengthen and become 'immune' as it were to that exercise. It's important to keep your abdominal training varied, with different exercises and methods. There are also certain exercises that will work better for you and not for others. This is because your abs are strong in certain ways and weak in others, while someone else has a different set of abs with their own weaknesses and strengths. Cardio training is also highly important when you look at the subject of how to get abs, and it should not be overlooked.

How to Get Hard Abs in a Month

Everyone wants to know how to get hard abs! In this hectic world, exercising in our lives is often a low priority. Often people assume that for exercise to benefit it must be done for hours a day and to see results will take years. This is far from the truth. Exercise is beneficial as soon as you do it and results can be had in just one month. To learn how to get hard abs in under a month keep reading!

Let's examine the role of the abdominals. The stomach muscles help us maintain good back health, but when not exercised, they begin to atrophy and we begin to rely on other more awkward muscles to perform movements, like the lower back. Eventually the lower back is left to maintain our posture. The lower back was never meant to support the body in this way, hence the aches and pains that follow. You also begin to communicate weak and awkward body language which has social ramifications, when your abdominals are atrophied.

The stomach muscles are huge and strong if healthy and can keep the rest of the body strong. Exercise can transform the stomach muscles in just days and become easily hard in less than a month.

So let's look at how to get hard abs in a month. First, remember that you must want to be healthy and want to strengthen your form with exercise. This is the key to success with any exercise routine or technique. Often people self sabotage themselves with negative thoughts, so getting your mind right about training your abs is crucial.

Lets go over a typical leg raise.
Lie down on the floor on your back and bend your legs slightly at the knees with your feet pointing outwards. You may put a pillow under your feet, not for support but to give you a stopping place for your leg raises. When we exercise we tend to forget about our form. The pillow will be a reminder to keep the legs in motion and not letting them rest to the floor after each rep. Then lift your legs smoothly, steadily and slowly, until you feel a pull. Breathe in and out and then release. Repeat this exercise 12 times, then rest. Do 3 sets.

As you do this exercise the stomach muscles will begin to respond to the pedestrian strain you are applying to them. Always pull the stomach in toward the back as you do these exercises. Do these exercises every day for a month and watch how amazingly hard your abs will be.

Also drink plenty of water during the day and with exercise. Once you have reached the desired effect usually less than a month, maintain this exercise 3 times a week.

The Abs Diet Review

A recent study in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine found that about 60% of Americans who try to lose weight do so by restricting their calorie intake, with one in 10 skipping meals to strip off pounds. Calories are needed to preserve body tissue, so when you suddenly begin eating fewer calories, you begin shedding body tissue. And because muscle requires more calories to maintain than fat does, your body preferentially sheds muscle. At the same time, it tries to pack-rat away fat, saving it for later, in case the lean times continue. Over time, on a restrictive diet, you lose weight—a lot of fat, but also a lot of muscle. You know that motivational phrase, stay hungry? Ignore it. Stay full. Ignore the call to starvation and deprivation. A diet is about what you eat. Not what you don't.

As an answer to the starvation diet, David Zinczenko, editor-in-chief of MEN’S HEALTH, developed a diet program known as the Abs Diet. The Abs Diet claims to offer the a simple, fast and effective plan to strip away belly fat and turn the flab into muscle. The science behind The Abs Diet is to help you build more muscle by eating the right foods and exercising so that your body burns fat faster resulting in weight loss. The Abs Diet works to stimulate a 12-pound weight loss in two weeks while flattening the tummy.

A six week plan, the Abs Diet involves you eating 12 nutrient-packed powerfoods, almonds and other nuts, beans and pulses, spinach and other green veg, low-fat dairy products, instant hot oat cereal, eggs, turkey and other lean meats, peanut butter, olive oil, wholegrain breads and cereals, extra protein powder and raspberries and other berries that provide all the vitamins, minerals and fiber needed for good health. The formula developed by the Abs Diet calls for eating two or three of the 12 power foods for three main meals and one or two power foods as part of three smaller snacks.

As with any other program, the Abs Diet offers additional materials which promote the success of the program. If you would like to find out more about the Abs Diet and the additional products visit my website at The Abs Diet
