Full Body Dumbbell Workout Best For Six Pack Abs

In my opinion, a full body dumbbell workout is the best exercise program for developing six pack abs. Unfortunately, hardly anyone uses dumbbells to develop strong abdominals you can see. In this article, I'll show you the error of your ways.

Carving out six pack abs you can see is a strong motivating force for many a man and woman. But the problem is, the desire is so strong people often don't think rationally when putting a plan into action. They want six pack abs, and they want them yesterday. This leads to making poor decisions, which often lead to a lot of wasted time and money.

I'll be honest with you...

- Those gadgets you see on late night television don't work
- "Isolating" your abs are ineffective for your goal and a waste of time
- Anything that claims to be "fast and easy" is a waste of money

Getting a six pack is just like any other goal. Stop letting emotion drive your decisions. Let's take a deep breath and look at this logically. I'm sure once we do this, you'll conclude that a full body dumbbell workout is your best bet for a six pack you can see, as I have.

There are three things you must do if you want to see your six pack:

1) You must build muscle all over your body
2) You must strengthen your core muscles
3) You must lose fat

If you do all three of these things, you'll develop abdominals you can see.

Building muscle all over your body not only helps you look better, but muscle is metabolically expensive. This means your body must use more calories to maintain a higher percentage of muscle, and therefore leaves less calories to be converted into fat. So, you not only build an attractive body, but also create a situation where the bigger muscles help you reach your goal of a visible six pack. A full body dumbbell workout builds muscles all over your body.

Obviously, stronger and bigger abdominal muscles are necessary to achieve the abdominal look you desire. But stop relying on "isolation" exercises like crunches and leg raises to get the job done. A dumbbell workout puts emphasis on the core muscles with every exercise. This means every exercise is an ab exercise.

No matter how much muscle you put on or how strong and big your abdominal muscles, no one will ever see them if they are covered with fat. You must get rid of the fat around your middle to make the muscles underneath visible. And a dumbbell workout, done correctly, burns a lot of fat.

Think of it this way. You want to perform a workout that builds muscle, strengthens the core and burns fat at the same time. This is the most effective method for getting the result you want. If your entire workout does these three things, it is the fastest way to build abs you can see.

So, spend more time doing a full body dumbbell workout instead of doing those "isolation" exercises and you'll build more muscle, strengthen your core and burn off more fat. This is what you need to spend your time doing if you ever hope to see your six pack. So, pick up a pair of dumbbells and get busy!

Six Pack Abs - When You Don't Have A Lot Of Time! - A Workout For You

Sometimes you don't have the time you need and want to do a full abdominal workout program. This is a 'quickie' you can use and be done in less time than you can imagine.

3 Exercises.

1) Basic Crunch

2) 90 Degree Crunch

3) 'Invisible Ball' Raise

Step 1 - lay on your back, perform a basic crunch, legs at 45 degrees, feet on floor, hands at side of head (don't pull your head) - raise up until your upper abs contract. hold, then return to start.

6-15 reps

Step 2 - After a 5 secs rest, immediately bring your legs up to ninety degrees, shins parallel to floor. Do crunches again with legs continuously in this position - don't put them down even in between sets of this one.

6-15 reps

Step 3 - Now, imagine you have an 'exercise ball between your legs/shins' - with your legs at the same ninety degrees, put arms resting at side of your body. Raise your lower body up and off the floor about 4-5 inches - using your lower abs to raise it up. Then back to start slowly. If its too hard put your knees together, but use your lower abs and keep your legs at ninety degrees.

6-15 reps.

Now - no rest between each different exercise.

AND between each set take 5-10 seconds rest.

Do 3-5 Sets/Cycles of these three.

Then you are done.

This will be a quick, but a good one to really put a quick burn on your abdominals. Indirectly you'll work the side obliques as a stabilizing motion and primarily your core.

Stretch when finished by raising your arms over your head and stretching up and slowly back a fraction so you feel it in your stomach/abdominals.

Anyhow, hope that works for you all. A great little supplementary workout for your six pack abs.

How to Get Abs in a Month

Ever found yourself with your hand on your belly, wondering what it would take to transform that belly into a set of rock hard abs? Often it's easier just to dream. But sometimes. Sometimes its simpler just to put in the work, get it over with and get what you want....isn't it? Sure it is. This article shows you how to get abs in a month!

When you press into your belly, and feel how spongy and soft it is, often you may feel disappointed until you remember you are not tensing your muscles. Relieved, you tense those abs hiding under a fleshy outer skin and sure enough there is a reasonably hard wall of muscle there. Cool.

But you look up at the TV and see a couple of fitness models and it strikes you quite plainly, that your hard abs and their hard abs LOOK different. It is little consolation to know you have abs just like they do. Virtually the same. But yours are hidden under some spongy flesh and theirs is defined and tight looking.

So defining this we realize something new. Abs are not about the actual muscles but the presentation. You have the same muscles as the fitness models but when you take your shirt off at the beach, no members of the opposite sex even pay attention. When the fitness model take their shirt off, everyone looks right?

What's the difference? What's the confusion? The difference is the quality, texture and thickness of the skin covering your abs and theirs. That area of skin on a fitness models abs is thin, supple and taught across their abs. Yours may be loose, flabby and thick filled with engorged fat cells.

It is this area of skin you must work on and not the actual muscles underneath!

So this is what is required to get abs looking good. If you follow these steps diligently, you should have a nice looking set of abs.

Limiting your calorie intake for just 30 days, then all there is left to do is maintenance. You really can eat what you like thereafter, as long as you keep an eye on your weight gains, and if you inadvertently ad a pound or two, you can drop it in a few days. That is a lot easier than dieting for a month!

Walk 1 hour every day. Believe me this burns calories like crazy. Walking along with limiting your calorie intake is a powerful way to make the skin thinner around your abs. If you limit your calories to only say, 1200 a day for 30 days only, you will have a nice lean set of abs (depending on your starting weight of course)

Finally, in the final stage, your tummy is slim, now I am going to ask you to eat more than your required calorie intake for a week after the 30 days. Muscle doesn't grow unless it is fed protein. You can do 1000 sit ups, but the muscles will not respond in size and definition unless they get the building blocks of muscle fiber which are amino acids. Which are found in protein. For that week, eat lots of protein and build up to 100 sit ups a day.

A final note. Weighing your self is useless. When your muscles grow you actually put on weight. Also you weigh water and other things that really makes weighing yourself futile. If you are serious about charting your progress, you must get a set of calipers, and pinch test specific fat areas every day. This is the most accurate way to see whats really happening.

The Fastest Way to a Six Pack of Abs

Make no mistake about it, the fastest way to a six pack of abs is going to require a consistent healthy diet that burns the fat off your belly. You could do thousands of sit-ups and crunches every day, but as long as you have beer gut or too much fat on your stomach, you will never achieve a six pack of abs.

This also raises the possibility of achieving a six pack without doing any exercise at all. That's right, you could have the weakest abdominals on Earth, but if your body fat percentage was 2%, you would have a very ripped and defined stomach. Muscle definition never really changes (muscle size does of course), only the fat covering your muscles changes... and it is fat that determines that ripped or defined six pack look.

However, sit-ups, crunches and aerobic exercise will definitely speed up the process of achieving a six pack stomach. So, in order to construct the fastest way to a six pack of abs would require:

• A low calorie diet, preferably high in protein

• Overall body strength training in the form of weight lifting, performed at least twice a week

• Low to medium intensity aerobic exercise performed at least twice a week

So, by following those three recommendations, you will be well on your way to getting that six pack you've always wanted. If you're a guy, girls will flock to you on the beach to feel your stomach. And if you're a girl, guys will stare at your slim midsection while trying to muster up the courage to talk to you.

The trick to achieving a six pack of abs quickly is understanding how to adjust the variables of your diet, strength training and aerobic exercise based on your height, weight, lifestyle and other factors. And then from there, it's just being consistent.

Flat abs. Other benefits include higher energy levels, more endurance power, more flexibility, and a flat abs. Six meals a day plus snacks does not equal flat abs and sexy muscles.
