Six Pack Abs

Six pack abs don't come by mail order unfortunately, you have to work at them. Anyone who tells you that you can have a six pack in a week is talking about cosmetic surgery not exercise. If you truly believe that you could put in the effort to get ripped abs, then you can strike one up for determination. Determination and a positive attitude will only take you so far, the hard part is sticking to the workouts, even when you want to skip a session.

There are many exercises which will help you achieve a great six pack, but did you know that doing these exercises wrong can either have no effect or worse, they can injure you? It's true; so many people every year just have the thought of getting fit and working on the stomach muscles like a madman. If you have ever torn a muscle during exercise you were probably told to rest the injury for am couple of weeks, not everyone does this. People have injured themselves through using the wrong techniques and continued to train regardless. This is taking the expression "no pain no gain" to extremes, a little pain whilst training is ok, but never try to work through an injury.

Sit ups used to be the only stomach exercise people used to obtain six pack abs, unfortunately these only worked a fraction of the muscle group. Abdominal crunches are a good all round technique for the muscles and can only be varied slightly. After extensive research, fitness instructors and medical professionals have found many exercises which will help to build those all important stomach muscles. Abs blasting crunch, seated jack knife, abs bench crunch, hanging knee ups to name but a few.

If you want to get six pack abs, think positively, set aside time to exercise and make sure that you warm up properly.

You may not always see the results within the first couple of weeks, after a month to six weeks you will start to see improvements, if you stick to the proper training.

Above all, if you are exercising at home, train safely and follow a good guide.

How To Get Perfect Abs, Suprisingly It Is Really About Presentation!

To get the perfect abs, you need to begin thinking about the task differently. In most peoples minds, images of sweating and groveling on the floor come to mind. However, if you approach it intelligently, you can really get a perfect set of abs without too much trouble or work.

To approach the task intelligently, first lets look at what we are really tying to accomplish then we can formulate a good way to complete our goal in the easiest and simplest way possible.

Abs are actually less about hard work and more about presentation. To illustrate the concept, let me give you an analogy. Lets pretend we got our mountain bike out of the shed and placed it on the ground laying it side ways. Then we take a thin blanket and cast it across the mountain bike. Immediately after the blanket settles we can see the bike. The bike is still familiar to make out. We can see the outline of the wheels and the peddles are sticking up through the blanket. The handle bars are easy to make out too because we can guess whats under the thin blanket, by seeing the clues and shapes of the bike.

Now lets try this again, but this time we remove the thin blanket and instead throw on a mattress. The thick mattress covers the bike entirely and gives absolutely no clue what is under that thick mattress. There are no shapes at all to make out. Just a mattress.

The fat layer you have over your abs can be like the thin blanket or like the thick heavy mattress. If it is like the thick mattress then you have no definition. The abs are actually a large muscle group that is easily trained and responds quite well to stimulation. You can literally create a desirable set of abs quite quickly.

For most people, the hard work is uncovering those abs, so they show. Getting a perfect set of abs is about presentation. It's about reducing your calorie intake and reducing your body fat percentage.

How to Get Flat Abs Fast

There is no real secret to getting abs. We all have been fooled by the infomercials and so-called experts, that tell us if we take pill, drink a supplement, and do a couple of sit ups, then we will have the abs of a Greek statue! Well, guess what? They tell you all this in order to make a buck or two off of you!

They create a fantasy world before your eyes to convince you to buy. But, what they won't tell you is, that everyone already has a six pack. Yes that's right! We all have six pack abs. But, where are they? They are hiding under the extra fat that your body stored. The abs are right under there. So, you could do 1,000 push ups a day, and it still wouldn't matter!

The secret to developing abs, is burning off the extra fat that you have stored on top of your abs! This can be done by doing cardio for 30 minutes a day or every other day. Activities like walking, running, and climbing the stairs. You must do activities like this to catch up with your bodies storage of fat. You have fat on your abs because, you are falling behind in the amount of calories you should be burning during the day. You are eating more calories than you burn. Let's say you take in 2,500 calories per day, but you only burn off 1,000.

Well, this here is a problem, because the body will be forced to store this extra fat from the calories into certain areas of the body. This could be the stomach for men, as well as the stomach, waist, and thighs for women. Once you start see in your abs again (that you haven't seen since childhood!) then you can begin to shape them up by doing crunches and other exercises. But, make sure you do them the correct way, and in moderation.
