Six Pack Abs Exercises

When going to the beach or swimming pool which body part do you really think most catches the eye? According to research the most watched body part happens to be the abs. There are many exercises that you can do to help you achieve those six pack abs. First you need to remember that everybody naturally has abs, however some peoples abs are just covered by more fat then others.

The first thing that is great to use is called the ab machine. The abdominal machine is found in many gyms and makes you do a crunching motion by directing you in the proper position. You can increase and decrease the resistance as you wish. When doing exercises make sure to move in a slow motion and flex your abs while doing the exercise. If you have more resistance then you will see more of a difference when attempting to define your abs.

You can use any item such as a book, a dumbbell or anything else that you may choose. You should put the weighted object in the position of either being over your head and hold it in place with your hands. You should perform these exercises the exact same way that you would if you were not using any type of weights.

Another great ab exercise to do would be hanging leg lifts. You simply use a pull up bar and allow your legs to hang down however also making sure that they are relaxed so that your knees do not bend and your toes are pointed.

Yet another simple exercise to do would be to lay flat on your back on a mat with bending your knees and your feet positioned flat on the floor. Put your hands by your ears however making sure they are not actually touching the head and crunch your midsection up and across, trying to touch your right elbow to your left knee. Make sure that you concentrate on flexing your stomach and then slowly go back to the starting position and repeat. These are just some of the various exercises you can do to achieve those six pack abs.

How To Get Abs Fast

Wouldn't we all love to have a flat stomach, and nice abs. We would definately like to get them fast, so we can impress people and feel good about ourselves, no one seems to know how to get abs fast anymore, this is probably because we live in a rich and greedy world and are far too lazy to do regular exercises.

The key to getting abs fast is routine exercises. Now I'm going going to tell you the perfect exercises, but what I am going to tell you is the exercises that allowed me to achieve the abs I always dreamed of.

How To Get Abs Fast - The Routine Exercises

Now the first ab exercise that I've always done throughout my life is the "sit-ups". Now sit-ups have such a bad reputation with people saying that they do nothing for you, but that's completely wrong. If done right the sit-ups can be very effective. But if you go about it half-assed it's going to do nothing for you. This is how you do a prope sit-up; First you lie down, make sure theres enough rooms around you. Bend your knees, with your feet on the floor. Cross your hands over your chest. And bring your chest up to your knees, focusing on the abdominals muscles. That's it, it's not about how many you actually do, more like how many good ones you manage to do.

Leg lifts is also a great effective exercise that you can do at home without fancy gym equipment. What you do is simply, lay down flat on the floor, place your hands under your buttocks, and lift your leg about 6 inches from the ground, concentrating on the abdominal muscle as you lift. Breathe in as you lift your leg up, and breathe out as you put it back down. This is a great exercise, and this is how I maintain my 6 pack abs!

3 Reasons You Need To Have Abs Now!

Our bodies are constantly being measured. In gyms, playing fields, beaches and bedrooms all over the world they are measured by others. In mirrors and on bathrooms scales we are constantly measuring ourselves. Besides the vanity measurements, there are many other reasons why having strong abs are not only beneficial but almost necessary. While some people may think that working towards having six pack abs is shallow, there's nothing wrong with striving to have great 6 pack abs. When you have abs you are telling the world that you're motivated, confident, healthy and disciplined. You will feel better about yourself and you will look better. A survey showed that 32 percent of women said that abs are the muscles that most likely to make them melt.

Having strong six pack abs will do more than just turn heads at the beach though. Here are the top six reasons, besides vanity, that you getting those strong abs will make your life better.

Abs will Help you Live longer

Many studies have shown that having a larger waist size can cause many life threatening diseases. According to the National Institute of Health, a waistline larger than 40 inches for men signals significant risk of heart disease and diabetes.

Having abs is not a get out of the hospital free card, but studies show that by developing a strong abdominal section, you'll reduce body fat and significantly cut the risks associated with many diseases, not just heart disease.

Abdominal fat can also put you are risk for a lot of other conditions that rob you are a good nights rest including asthma and gastroesophageal reflux. This can lead to an ugly cycle of having poor sleep, being sluggish and tired, then your body will crave some quick energy, so you snack on some high-calorie junk food. That junk food leads to more abdominal fat...

Abs will Improve your sex life

Having strong ab muscles will increase your stamina. The thrusting power you generate during sex doesn't come from your legs; it actually comes from your core. Strong abs will give you the stamina and strength to try new positions and help you to maintain the motion control that's important for your staying power as well as your partners pleasure.

You will have better erections. When you eat a lot of fatty foods, the gunk that blocks blood vessels leading to your heart will also block the blood leading to your genitalia. This decrease in blood flow will equal softer, or no erections.

You will also have increased length. The fat that is at the base of a mans abdomen covers up the base of his penis. Studies have shown that losing just 15 pounds will add up to a half an inch to the length or a man's member. Technically it is not growing, losing the fat that surrounds it will allow all of you've got to show and perform.

Abs will Strengthen your back

Most back pain is related to weak muscles in your trunk, maintaining a strong core can help resolve many back issues that men suffer from. If you are one of the millions of men that suffer from back pains, developing strong abdomen muscles are essential.

When your abs are weak, the muscles in you glutes (your butt) and the muscles in muscles in the back of your legs (your hamstrings) have to compensate for the work your abs should be doing. The effect is that it destabilizes the spine and eventually leads to back pain and strain. It could even lead to more serious back problems.

Adequate Abs

After hearing the same questions time after time I feel it is only right to clear up the whole ab issue. I am amazed how often people question me with a bewildered look on their face curious about how exactly to get that coveted "six pack." Here’s where the most important point comes in: it is peoples’ misconceptions about training and dieting that lead them astray. Most often it is not a lack of effort that results in a feeling of abdominal inadequacy. On the contrary, people rave about the number of crunches they do often numbering as high as several hundred several times per week.

Don’t get me wrong, it takes quite a lot of willpower to do that many crunches in one sitting, but that doesn’t mean that it’s what you need. Through no mistake of their own, and most often in taking advice from friends, people feel that in order to get the most defined stomach they have to do countless crunches or sit-ups in order to both burn the existing fat in that region and also build muscle.

This skewered perception about the types of exercises to do is often coupled with a misconception about frequency of training. Along with the multiple repetitions that people feel the need to perform there is also a sense that in order to tone the abs most effectively you must train them many times per week. This is simply not true. To have great abs there are two requirements.

The first is good muscular development of the rectus abdominis, (the muscles running from the lower belly to the bottom of the chest, aka the “six pack”) and the second is a low body fat percentage. In order to achieve the first requirement you must realize once and for all that the abdominal muscles are just like every other muscle in the body insofar as they need similar training to elicit a particular response. If you want to increase muscles definition it is a good idea to increase muscle size. (As long as you don’t add fat size as well) This is done by challenging the muscles with a weight and rep range that allows for adequate tension to be held on the muscle without sacrificing form. Ideally you should use a weight that is challenging for 8-12 reps.

There are literally dozens of effective ab exercises and only a few need to be completed during each workout. Despite the multitude of exercises, (which I will discuss specifically later) it recommended that you limit the frequency and the volume of your ab training. To be precise, abs need only be trained once per week, with three to five different exercises per workout. Going above and beyond this is possible but not recommended as it can result in over training.

Remember the abs are playing a part in many other exercises that you do for other muscle groups and only need limited direct work. The second requirement to have awesome abs is to lower the amount of fat in your body. This can be done with cardiovascular training done 3-5 times per week for one half hour. Ideally the aerobic training should be done with the heart beating at fifty to sixty percent of your max heart rate. In doing it this way you are staying in the “fat burning zone” and are limiting the amount of precious muscle you burn off and maximizing the amount of excess fat you shed. This is the best way to decrease body fat. This is how you allow your body to burn off the excess calories that often result in fat storage in the abdominal region. If you couple this with hard resistance isolation of the abdominal region and healthy eating you’ll end up with a cut midsection full of muscle!

Abs Workout Machine Buying Tips

For a fit body, and a better health there should be no compromise on the exercise you do. Busy work schedule often do not leave us with time to join a gym in our locality. What choice do we have then? The only option that remains is to have a home gym. A home gym necessarily means to have a separate large room, properly ventilated and having good amount of light, where you can place at least 5-6 machines easily and have a sufficient amount of space where you can do some stretching exercises.

What deters most people from joining a gym is the boredom associated with it. It is true that patiently working out in a gym is a tough exercise. Not only does it inflicts physical strain but also stresses your mind. As a result, you feel fatigue setting in fast. So, the best way is to incorporate as much entertainment as possible in the place where you are working out.

A television or a music system can be a very good solution. It can entertain you all the while you are sweating it out hard. Try to keep a cool environment inside the gym room. Heat results in excess sweating and you tend to lose a lot of body fluids. The result is that you cannot work as hard as it is necessary or as much as you would have liked to. There, it very much important to keep an air-conditioning system where you can pre-fix the temperatures.

Now the all-important fact is what to buy and what not to buy? Nowadays you can see advertisements on television on the number of abs slimming belts, lotions and creams that are available at affordable rates in the market. Moreover, these made-easy productpromise a lot to give you the perfect shape. So, is it worth investing in such things? Well, the answer is a strict NO. Medically it has been proved that these products have no utilities. Mostly they work to increase the body metabolism such that the fat layer is burnt down. However, several adverse side-effects have been known to arise due to these products. You can refer to any practitioner to get more details on that.

The products to buy

Invest on some products like a treadmill, an elliptical machine and an exercise bike. These are the most important workout machines if you are looking forward to get rid of those unwanted flab.

In the market you will have several price ranges for each of these products. Those having less prices are inferior in quality and results than the higher ones. But, this does not mean that it is suggested that you opt for the costlier one. Choose the one that suits your budget first. But, do not go for the cheapest ones. The costlier ones are more automated and they give you extra details about how much calories you burnt, your speed, your strength etc. These are necessary if you are following a strict workout regimen.

Then you have to buy certain products that are specific for abs. If you are adept at crunches, and can do them in a perfect posture then you can avoid buying abs trainers. You can choose to buy an abs roller ball, however if you can arrange an inclined plane where you can lie-down and practice sit-ups then I believe that even a roller is not necessary. Try to arrange or buy a firm rod and fix it at a height from the ground such you can hang on to it and perform leg-raise and hip-lifts etc. Buy a pair of abs slings which are useful for these exercise.

The items that I have suggested above are sufficient for a home gym. Then can give you a heavy workout for your body, especially your abs.
