Burn Fat in the Stomach Area for Better Abs

People are anxious to know how to burn fat in the stomach area. This question makes a lot of sense. The sooner you get a set of great looking abs, the better you will feel about the effort you are putting into your fat loss program. Unfortunately this question targets the somewhat controversial topic of spot reduction.

For years television and infomercials have conditioned us to believe that spot reduction is possible. Fitness professionals and physiologists know that you lose fat from all of your body gradually and there is no way to isolate a single area for fat loss. But spot reduction has seemingly achieved the status of urban myth and the public doesn't want to hear the truth.

To stir things up a bit more an Australian fat loss researcher has recently released a study which seems to suggest that it is possible to selectively burn fat in the stomach area with certain types of training. These results are extremely preliminary and by no means conclusive. The proven route to seeing great abs is to lose body fat. You may already possess washboard abs. They are just hidden under a layer of fat! A substantially muscled man will see his abs at around 15% body fat. Women will see their upper abs at about 16% body fat.

Ultimately aerobic exercise is the key to burning fat. Your body will not start burning fat until the glycogen stores are depleted, so your aerobic workout should last from 30 to 60 minutes. Don't forget your eating plan in your haste to exercise. No matter how hard you exercise if your calorie intake is greater than your calorie expenditure you will not burn fat in the stomach area or anywhere else.

It is important to train regularly. As your body adapts to the new regimen it becomes more efficient at providing oxygen to burn fat. Regular exercise will improve your circulation making it easier to transport fatty acids for fuel. Over time your cells will produce more mitochondria. These produce energy for your body. More mitochondria working means more available energy.

Resistance or weight training combined with cardio and a sensible eating plan will create the calorie deficit you need to burn fat and show off your great abs. Abdominal exercises will be a part of your resistance training, but focusing on these will not burn fat in the stomach area.

How to Get Hard Abs Without Busting a Gut

Ever thought about really putting the effort and getting a set of ripped lean and defined set of abs? I'm sure you have, who hasn't. They look so dang good, how can we not hope for looking like this some day. In this article a I expose a little ignorance and give you a few interesting ideas about getting hard abs without working too hard.

First and foremost, you must realize what you want. There seems to be a lot of confusion about the abdominal body part. The confusion lays in working them. It seems logical, that if we want better looking abs we should work them and grow them. This fact is responsible for more people quitting and never bothering again. The confusion is understandable, but you should approach this intelligently and you will get the results you are after without too much work.

Getting a good set of hard abs is about presentation and not the muscles themselves. Its about a visual balance and aesthetics. Working your abs for hours and hours a week actually has the opposite effect, hence this is why most people give up. Their muscles grow around the waist as a response to their diligent work outs. Then they despair as they notice something strange. They dont look good!

If you have a layer of fat across your abs, and you do the work outs that make the abs grow too, you are actually making your torso look bigger. But wait? Isn't that the point? Ummm...no. Heres why. A set of neat tight abs on a muscular body make a great center piece. All muscular bodies are not complete without the familiar six pack. But....when the eye looks at a muscular body it focuses on the six pack because it is a natural resting place. The eye follows the V shape, the wide shoulders and rests at the point of the V the bottom of it, the abdominals. The eye searches for this natural shape, the V or a triangle and is naturally more satisfied with a smaller V The wider the top, the more tapered the bottom, the more satisfying it is to look at.

So if we work out our abs and grow them...we are actually doing the opposite of what we want. A nice tight torso. The key to a nice tight center piece is reducing your body fat. That is really how abs are made. The bumps you will find quite easily and naturally once your skin layer is absent of the access fat which hides them!

Abs: How to Get a Sexy Six Pack?

There are many factors responsible for abdominal fat like processed food, refined sugar, lack of exercise etc.

But the following two invisible factors are mainly responsible for abdominal fat deposits.

1)STRESS
2)ALCOHOL

1)STRESS:

Stress has become part of daily life. Job pressure, financial insecurity, problems in personal relations, traffic & pollution all take a heavy toll of our mental well being.

All the above factors combined with continuous negative thinking and not living in the present moment lead to a pressure-cooker environment of the mind

All of us lead a life either in the past or in the future.Your mind either thinks about the past or fantasizes and worries about the past. Nobody lives in the present moment living every moment and enjoying it as it is!

This constant oscillation of the mind from past to present and present to past like a pendulum takes a heavy toll of your mind and body.Stress builds up and ageing becomes accelerated. The efficiency of the body’s various fat burning organs becomes very low.

Stress is the main cause of stored toxins in the body. These toxins impair the normal functioning of the various fat burning and excretory organs like thyroid gland, lever, kidney etc.

This results in the body not being able to cope up with even normal pressures exerted at various levels due to heavy work or faulty diet and the net result is obesity and weight gain.

Accumulated stress and anxiety from daily stress full modern living releases a hormone known as cortisole.

Research indicates that Cortisole is the hormone responsible for preferential deposition of fat in the abdominal area.

So if you want a sexy six pack, getting rid of stress is very important.

There are thousands of books on relieving stress and positive thinking. But no book has the exact answer for the varied stressful states of mind.

Your breath has a vital connection with your mind. By concentrating on your breath you can control your wandering mind and bring it to the present moment.

Various breathing techniques, Yogasanas and Pranayamas have the power to expel toxins and stress out of your mind and body and make you more and more centered.

My e-book "Proven weightloss secrets revealed" shows various ways to easily overcome stress and to burn abdominal fat without working for hours in a gym.

2)ALCOHOL:

Alcohol consumption leads to abdominal fat.

Stanford university school of medicine has reported a link between drinking alcohol and abdominal fat.

Recent findings report that alcohol drinkers have atleast twice the hip-waist ratios as compared to non-alcoholics.

Alcohol also seems to make the body burn less fat and favours fat storage and subsequent weight gain.

The main problem with alcohol drinking is that the stomach walls directly absorb alcohol. Since it never reaches intestine, the intestine doesn’t give "full" signal to the brain. This causes the person to eat more. It has been observed that you tend to eat atleast 400 calories more when you are drunk.

So, to reduce abdominal fat you need to reduce alcohol consumption or atleast reduce fat consumption whenever you drink.

Spot reduction of abdominal fat is very difficult because fat melts evenly throughout the body. As such to reduce abdominal fat you must strive to reduce fat all over the body.

Expelling the toxins out of your system and correcting the body’s fat burning mechanism can achieve this. Detailed explanation of how to do this has been explained in my e-book.

Alcohol also seems to make the body burn less fat and favours fat storage and subsequent weight gain.

Additionally, doing crunches regularly will help you a great deal in overcoming excess abdominal fat.
