6 Pack Abs Diet Top 10 Foods

In order to get a flat stomach and six pack abs, you have to watch your diet very carefully. What you put in your mouth determines the amount of belly fat you will have and therefore your chances of having the six pack abs you desire. Most people believe that exercise plays the dominant role in determining whether you will have a flat stomach or not, but it's simply not true. Exercise is important, but without sticking to a correct flat stomach diet, you will never succeed.

Here are 10 Great 6 pack abs diet foods which you should have in your fridge and pantry

1. Vegetables -- Veggies provide a lot of vitamins and are a must have ingredient in any diet. I particularly like zucchinis, lettuce, peppers, carrots, and my ultimate favorite: tomatoes.

2. Cottage cheese -- cottage cheese is a lean cheese and contains a great deal of protein. It's also possible to chop some walnuts into it, and along with some raisins or a teaspoon of honey, it's delicious and healthy.

3. Whole eggs -- Egg whites are one of the top sources of high quality protein in nature. Most people throw away the yolks and that's a shame because they are highly nutritious despite containing cholesterol. I often make myself a triple omelette with three egg whites and one yolk. This way I get a ton of protein and have a tasty ommelette with little cholesterol.

4. Whole wheat and whole grain pasta -- These pastas contain a great deal of protein and provide and excellent source of calories.

5. Whole rice -- I never ever eat white rice because it's full of empty calories. But whole rice is an excellent source of nutrients.

6. Lean meat -- Chicken, turkey, ostrich, buffalo and other lean meats and fowl can be used in many delicious dishes and sandwiches, provide a lot of protein, iron and other nutrients. Make sure to include them in your diet.

7. Fish Oil -- Fish oil is a necessary part of any healthy abs diet. You can get fish oil in tuna, salmon, and other fish.

8. Walnuts and almonds -- These nuts contain a lot of healthy fats and other nutrients.

9. Green teas -- green tea contain a lot of antioxidants (which slow the aging process).

10. Raw honey -- A little honey can turn even the most bland dishes into a delicacy. It's a natural sugar and has many positive qualities. Don't overdo it, but a little honey will not harm your flat belly diet.

Incorporate these 10 flat stomach and 6 pack abs diet foods into your menu and you will see your energy levels increase, your belly fat decrease, and your overall health improve.

- The Captain's Chair. This is performed by relaxing your arms with two horizontal supports in a frame. An improvisation is by fastening these supports to a wall. Of course it follows that these must be able to carry more than just your weight. Then you bend your legs up to your abdominal area. This is similar to how you would do a leg raise with folded knees, except that you are doing this vertically straight up. Check out some websites on how this is done properly.

- The Bicycle Exercise. Specific abdominal muscles are targeted when doing this exercise. Generally this is done by lying face up with your body positioned as how the traditional crunch is done. When doing this, you will be moving your legs just like how you would ride a bicycle. Hence its name. This exercise is also considered an abs best exercise because particularly works for the rectus abdominis and the oblique muscles.

- The Exercise Ball Crunch. Another effective abs workout is this one. Although you need to buy an exercise ball to do this. It's a flexible rubber sphere that looks like a very huge balloon. You do the exercise by resting your lower back and have your feet rest on the floor. Then you do the abs crunch. This type also targets the rectus abdominis. A lot of pictures are also available for better illustration.

People aim for six-packs. The sad thing is, if we don't get it instantly, we get discouraged and give up. Flattening your abs requires discipline including your lifestyle. Yes, that is correct. The Most Common Myths about Abs

Myth 1

Abdominal muscle is different from regular muscle.

Your abdominal muscles are just like every other muscle in your body. The abdominal is different only in location and unlike biceps or quads they don’t rest on a bony surface. So you should train them the same way you would train, say, your biceps or your chest. The basic laws of physiology apply to all your muscles, including your abs. This means that you have to do exercises in the correct plane of movement to effectively work the muscle.

Myth 2

You have to train your abs everyday.

The rules of weight training state that you should give your muscles at least, a day of rest to recover and this applies to your abs as well. Instead of working your back everyday, do them every other day or even just three times a week. They need a break just like the rest of your body. The trick is to train them hard.

Myth 3

Doing ab exercises gets rid of abdominal fat.

There is no such thing as spot reduction. People assume that if you have fat deposits on your abdominal, exercising the muscles underlying the fat will make it go away. But they assume wrong. You can’t get rid of the fat over a muscle by repeatedly exercising that body part. The only way to burn fat from your tummy is through prolonged exercise and a healthy, low calorie diet.

Myth 4

High repetitions are required to make gains.

As you’ve read earlier, abs are just like every other muscle in your body. That means, you should train your abs the same way as the rest of your muscle groups. To make strength gains with your abs, you have to overload your muscles.

Myth 5

Anyone can have a flat stomach.

For many people it’s not physiologically possible to achieve a flat stomach. In most of us the abdominal muscles are designed to be somewhat rounded, not flat. Age, genetics, gender all these factors decide the size, shape and appearance of you belly.

Myth 6

If you have a bad back, training the abs will worsen it.

Training your abs will strengthen you back. The opposing muscles in you body always assist each other. So if you have weak ab muscles, the load of the work falls on the back. So strengthen the abs and your back will become stronger as well.

Don’t waste time by falling victim to six main ab myths. Train intelligently in accordance with scientifically based training techniques and get super abs.
