Complexity Of Alcohol In The Abs Diet

Calories are an important part of the abs diet and are usually the most misunderstood problem with the other fad diets out there. Most other food programs focus so much on calories scrimping that they forget the other aspects of nutrition; the abs diet differs in the sense that in order to lose weight, you need to lose more calories than you take in. This eating plan is not an unscrupulous calorie-counting food program, but one which is based on principles of healthy nutrition.

If you are on the abs diet and you are at least a social drinker taking in at least a bottle of beer once in a while, then you are fortunate enough to be able to take part in the benefits which alcohol can provide.

While there is a misconception about beer that destroys the diet entirely, a liter of beer can provide up to 20% of the body's daily requirement of fiber. Such misconceptions should be blamed on the poor eating habits of an individual. Alcohol such as wine and beer are beneficial in your abs diet if you drink on occasion, since it helps in the unclogging of the arteries and prevent strokes. More amounts can however be destructive to your abs diet, since alcohol is known to encourage your body to eat more, and it also causes your body to burn less fat.

Excessive amounts of alcohol are treated by your body as poison, and your body makes an effort to get rid of it. If you are on the abs diet, this can be self-defeating, since your liver will first concentrate on flushing out the alcohol, and ignoring all other calories.

In order for your abs diet to achieve its maximum effectiveness, you'll have to get rid of the alcohol, or at least minimize it to healthy amounts. For better results, try replacing the empty calories from alcohol with the hydrating properties of water. Eight glasses a day are enough to wash away the toxins in your body.

The Two Best Ab Exercises For A Flat Stomach And Great Female Abs

Before you start thinking it, "no it's not crunches". They will not get you the flat stomach and top female abs you're after. Crunches don't come close to the most efficient and effective two abs workouts I'm going to take you through later on in the article. In fact the injury level with crunches, either to the neck or back run at shocking levels, and the results obtained are poor.

Before getting onto the abs workouts that lead to top female abs, it's critical that you understand a fundamental truth.

"It does not matter how great you're abs are if they're covered by a layer of fat you're simply not going to see the muscle definition beneath them"

In order for the flat stomach and hot abs to shine through you're going to have to ensure a body fat level below 8% for men and below 12% for women. Once you get to that level the 6 pack abs will be clearly visible. The only way to get down to those levels is by intensive cardio workouts.

Back to building great female abs! The first exercise I'm going to recommend will surprise many people, but I recommend it on the basis of the latest scientific research carried out in Canada. They compared abdominal muscle activity during various exercises including those specifically designed for ab workouts. They found the exercise that registered most strongly was the simple squat. It worked the core abs muscles harder than many abs and lower back exercises.

Clearly if you really want to work those female abs hold some weights in your hands while performing the exercise. However don't feel you have to. The data suggests even light warm-up squats targeted the abs intensely.

The second exercise to achieve the flat stomach you've longed for is best done while sitting down. It's a special type of exercise known as isometric and made hugely popular by the Russians in the 1960s. It's a way of exercising without moving the joints and the associated muscles. Here's how you apply it to creating great female abs:

Breathe in deeply and pull in your stomach as hard as you can without causing yourself any pain. Now tense your stomach muscles hard as if you are about to get hit in the stomach and your bracing yourself for this eventuality. You'll start to feel the muscles quiver a little as they become tighter. Now breathe out keeping the tension in your stomach muscles and crunching them hard so that your ribs move slightly inwards. Relax, and repeat 10 times.

If you carry out these two simple exercises daily you'll start seeing those female abs popping out in no time at all. Your stomach will become flat (as long as it's not covered in layers of fat) and you're posture will improve. Add a little cardio workout to your routine and you'll quickly be on your way to fantastic results inside 6 weeks.

What are you waiting for?

An Abs Diet - The Best Nutrition For Six Pack Abs

Getting those clear, well defined and separated, rock hard six pack abs that you've always wanted is down to two key ingredients:

1) The proper abs diet and nutrition, and
2) The best abs exercises and workout.

Neither are as hard as you might think, and both are vital components of achieving flat abs, but one is definitely more important than the other. Can you guess which is the real reason for flat abs?

That's right - your abs diet is way more important. You see, you can do all the ab exercises in the world and end up with six pack abs worthy of an Olympic body builder, but if you have too much body fat on then no-one will be able to see them! With the right abs diet, your perfect flat abs will be on display for everyone to see.

Nutrition and your abs diet is all about cutting back on unnecessary fats and boosting your lean muscle to raise your metabolism. Once your metabolism is up, your body will naturally burn more fat during the day and night. Because you'll be taking in less fat, your body will store less and so over time you'll see a reduction, and that means...

Your six pack abs will be on show!

Plan your diet over the next 4 weeks and keep to it. Measure your body fat at the beginning, then measure it again at the end. If you like, you can keep up an abs exercise workout at the same time to lose more body fat, but it's not vital. You can lose body fat just from eating the right foods.

Stick to lean meat like chicken, or if you are going to eat red meat like bacon or beef, make sure you cut off as much of the fat as possible. Don't eat too many carbohydrates during the day because your body may convert them to stored fat. Eat enough so you're not hungry, but have slightly smaller portions of potatoes, chips, rice or bread if you're going to have them. Make sure you get plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables, and above all - avoid sugary and rich foods like cake, crisps and sweets. These are the foods that contain the bad fats and oils that will be turned into the fat that covers your six pack abs.

A simple rule of thumb: if you feel guilty eating it, it's probably best not to.

One last tip. Drink plenty of cold water throughout the day. Not only is water good for you, but some research suggests that drinking cold water will raise your metabolism as your body tries to warm it up, giving you that extra edge. Go for 8 glasses a day - it may sound like a lot to start with, but you'll quickly get into a habit of doing it. You may find yourself going to the bathroom at lot at first, but your body will get the hang of regulating that much water within a few days.

If your diet is great to start off with, you may find it hard to switch to an "abs diet", but your efforts will not go unrewarded. An abs diet on its own won't guarantee you six pack abs though. You need to couple it with a decent training and abs exercise routine for your abs to really pop out.

David Spencer is a fitness nutcase. He has spent years learning about exercise and just as long working on his own six pack abs Getting your own flat abs is not as hard as everyone makes out - visit The Truth About Six Pack Abs to find out exactly how David and hundreds of others got theirs, and how you can get yours.
