Six Pack Stomach - Are You After The 6 Pack Abs?

Achieving your sick pack stomach is very possible but it depends on body fat. You need to have low body fat in order to develop the abdominal muscles. If the fat level is high then no matter what you do you will not change the shape of the body. Getting the results depends on metabolism and body type and this is different for everyone. There are, however, some simple steps that you can take to get that defined look.

The importance here is to increase the rate of metabolism - how quickly we digest the food. If you eat smaller amounts more regularly say every three hours or so, then this will increase your metabolic rate which in turn would help you burn the calories. When eating meals it is very important to make sure that you include protein and also low carbs which are slow burning and will make your feel full. The example of these low glycemic carbs are oranges, pears, grapes, diary, oats, sweet potato, and most of the vegetables.

Carbohydrates is very very imortant part of the equation and if you after loss of weight and get muscles then it is advised that you reduce the intake of processed foods such as pasta, white rice and bread, chips and candy. If you want to achieve weight loss then you should include a lot of protein to your diet.

Here are some tips for exercises - bench crunches, hanging leg rises, pull-down crunches. Remember that when you are doing the crunches, crunch up as high as possible and only come down few inches. Note that you will need to keep the tension to the muscle and do not rest the abs doing the exercises.

Make a plan on what you want to achieve and if you want to get a six pack stomach then do cardio and abdominal exercises, eat healthy food so you will see a difference very quickly.

Get Sexy Abs - Discover What Fitness Equipment Companies Don't Want You To Know

Anyone who wants to have sexy abs is constantly swamped with abs gadgets and gimmicks which promise that you can have the abs you've always dreamed of in practically no time and with almost zero effort. I've seen gadgets which promise you that you can develop flat abs while you sit in your office, or even when you sleep. I've seen abs belts, abs gadgets, abs exercising machines which look like they've been taken straight out of the nearest torture chamber. Every gadget or machine has its own spokesperson, who has perfect abs, and the promises fall upon you like snowflakes in winter: gently and easily, until you're tempted to have that gadget and get those abs.

What you usually end up with is a coat rack accumulating dust which is much more usefull than all the good it did to your abs. Don't be ashamed that you've fallen victim to a scam artist, it happens to everyone. It happened to me more than once. What can I do? I'm a trusting person. It took me a long time to get my six pack abs. During this process I ran across a lot of lies. Here are the biggest of them:

Lie #1: You can get abs without exercising - this is simply not true. In order to have sexy flat abs you need to tone your stomach muscles. Otherwise, you may be thin, but you won't be hard and your stomach will not look taut.

Lie #2: You can get a flat stomach without watching your diet - This is another lie because in order to have a flat stomach you need to reduce the amount of belly fat. To do that you need to make sure you're not eating useless calories.

Lie #3: You can get abs with a gadget - This is a massive lie and in my view, close to robbery. Gadgets don't develop muscles. That's why professional athletes train with weights and do cardio training. Gadgets can only make your wallet flatter, not your belly.

Lie #4: Abs machines can get you great abs - This is another trick to get you to buy useless merchandise. The best exercises are done with body weight resistance or with simple weights. It's the same thing with regular weight training in which it is well known that free weights are much better than exercise machines.

So What is the truth?

The truth is that you don't need to waste your money on machines and gadgets, you only need to invest in education. The education on what to eat, which exercises to do, and how to lead your life in order to get those sexy abs you deserve.

Everyone can get flat abs if only he or she will do things right. You can do it too.

3 Ways to Get Ripped Abs

How many commercials have you seen promising 6 pack abs from the latest ab workout? Does it ever work? Never! Here's a better way to get abs.

In my opinion, all you need to do to get 6-pack abs is this...

Lose belly fat with nutrition, intervals, and resistance training.

More specifically...

First, start by improving the quality of the food you eat. No more processed carbohydrates, no more sugar, no more deep-fried foods, no more fast food, and no more sodas or juices. Simply making these changes will help you lose stomach fat fast, and you'll drop your body fat percentage in just days.

Stop doing crunches. Spend that time on intervals instead. Doing hundreds of crunches won't get you results. And doing long, slow boring cardio is also an inefficient way to burn belly fat and see your 6-pack abs.

According to researchers from Australia, including Professor Steve Boucher, the only way to spot reduce belly fat is to use interval training. Intervals destroy body fat.

Once you've taken care of your nutrition, resistance training, and interval training, you can start with basic abdominal workouts. Here's what you need to know, and this will surprise you!

1) Beginners should stay the heck away from situps and crunch-type movements until they master the Plank, Side Plank, and Bird Dog.

Don't do situps.

2) Here are some my favorite no-crunch ab movements for intermediate exercisers...

a) the Stability Ball Rollout (also can be done with the Ab Wheel or as a Barbell Rollout)

b) the Stability Ball Jackknife

c) the Plank with Your Arms on the Ball (which according to research quoted in Mens Health, this exercise works your abs 30% harder thanregular Plank - all without messing your low back).

Okay, so I've given my controversial advice about what beginners and intermediate fitness levels should do for abs...Get ready for Men's Health expert Craig Ballantyne to reveal his belly fat burning strategies.

But first, I want to mention some "unknown" ab builders...

a) The Elevated Pushup

b) Straight Arm Cable Pullover

c) Front Squat

d) DB Pullover & even DB Triceps Extensions with extra stretch

All great total body moves to have in your program to burn calories and build abs at the same time.

3) What do you really need to do to bring out your abs once you have your body fat low?

My favorite advanced ab exercise is Cable Crunches, which are without a doubt, the best resistance exercise for building abs. There are several ways to do them, with one version being safer but just as effective as all other versions.

The big message I like to get across to clients is that they can build 6-pack abs without ever doing a single crunch while lying on their backs.

It shocks people, but it is true. If you want to lose stomach fat fast and see your six pack abs, focus on your nutrition, total body strength training, and interval training before you even consider adding more reps to your current ab workout.

Men's Health expert Craig Ballantyne has designed the trademarked Turbulence Training home fat burning workouts to help thousands of men and women with weight loss and fat burning in less than 45 minutes three times per week. Craig's workouts help you burn fat without long, slow cardio sessions or fancy equipment. Craig's beginner bodyweight workouts for fat loss help you lose fat without any equipment at all.

Another Exercise to Create Those Sexy Six-Pack Abs

This exercise will help add to the "WOW!" factor when people see you in a swimsuit. It is a great workout not only for your abdominal complex but also for your lower back and for overall body strength in general. It is sounds extremely simple to explain. Let me assure you that the first few times you attempt it you'll find it to be quite difficult. However, after a week or two you will have mastered the motion and be able to increase the amount of weight you are using, thus exponentially improving the exercise results. This exercise is one more "arrow in your quiver" to get the abdominal look you want.

The exercise is called the "Russian Twist." It was taught to me by Jim Cawley, the owner of Dynamax Medicine Balls. I don't normally mention specific products in my writing but his product is pretty much the industry standard for medicine balls and I want you to know how to get one.

Jim is a fine gentleman living in Buda, Texas, where he makes those great medicine balls. The balls are available in two-pound increments from 4 pounds to 20 pounds. I would highly recommend getting at least one as they are among the most versatile pieces of exercise equipment ever invented. To show medicine balls versatility and timelessness, I read that one of the U.S. Presidents in the early 20th century, Theodore Roosevelt I believe, would set-up a volleyball net on the White House lawn and have the staff divided into two teams. One team would throw a medicine ball over the net and if the other team was unable to catch it, a point was scored by the throwing team. The medicine balls pre-date Teddy Roosevelt, but I believe that example helps show the versatility of the ball in exercise.

To perform the Russian Twist, begin by sitting on the floor with a medicine ball in your hands. I recommend you start with a four-pound ball until you have mastered this movement. When you have mastered the exercise, you can increase the weight of the ball. With the ball in your hands, tilt your upper-body back to about a 45 degree angle. Now raise your feet about six inches off the ground while keeping them together. The only part of you body in contact with the ground is your glutes. While maintaining your balance, slowly move the medicine ball around your waist to one side and touch the floor with the ball. Immediately move the ball to the other side of your body and touch the ground with it on that side. Each time the ball touches the ground is considered one rep. Try to do 10 reps the first time. The exercise will seem awkward and unstable at first but I promise your form will improve drastically after only a week or two.

As I mentioned in a previous article about abdominal exercise, let me remind you that big determinants to how your abdominals look are your nutrition and your well-rounded exercise routine. You have to have both of those in place to get visible results from ANY ab exercise. Despite television ads to the contrary, it's impossible to "spot reduce" fat from a particular body part. If you have a "beer belly" or this is the only exercising you do, we will make your abs stronger and more toned but a layer of body fat will cover up your six-pack treasure. If you want those abs to be visible, the bottom-line is to make sure you are doing your part with a good nutrition program and a solid exercise plan.

When I'm performing this exercise I normally use a 12-pound ball (the heaviest at my facility) and do 30 to 40 reps per set for 4 sets. It will take a little while but soon you will be doing the same number of reps and sets and maybe even surpassing my work. The Russian Twist is one more step down the road to sexy six-pack abs!

How To Get Cut Abs In A Few Weeks

A set of beautiful abs is so desired these days, often people assume that only professional gymnasts or fitness models can have such a highly prized body part. This is not true. These people simply know how to get cut abs. Yes, in just a few weeks!

This sounds almost impossible, but it is not. The key is in the form and the right exercise. Bare in mind that fitness models and gymnasts have low body fat. So their abs will show through when they cut them up. If you are slim, this will work for you too. In fact this will work for anybody, but for people with a thick layer of fat on their tummy, the new muscles will not be visible, so if that is the case, you will need to go on a strict calorie intake diet to get to the point where your muscles show through a little.

How to get cut abs in a few weeks
First make sure to drink lots of water. When you hydrate your body, you allow the anabolic environment the resources it needs to begin creating the new muscle fiber. Second, eat lots of protein. The basic building blocks of muscle fiber is amino acids which are found in protein.

Chicken breast, tuna in spring water and protein shakes are great, eat a lot! You may even gain a few pounds over the days you do this, but you will need to do some cardio after "bulking up" to remove the excess fat. The reason why you must eat is because when you do your ab crunches and sit ups you are putting strain on the muscle. The muscle group responds by rebuilding itself and growing. If it doesn't have the correct materials to build muscle it simply wont. In other words you are wasting your time exercising. Without proper nutrition, you may as well not bother exercising. You will burn calories and thats great but there are better cardio exercises around than crunches and sit ups. Like walking or running.

However if you want to build muscle, you are going to have to accept that you will add some fat too while you are bulking up the muscle group because you cant be laser accurate. You need to give the muscles the nutrition it needs and that means lots of food. Some fat is bound to be added too, but this can be taken care of later by cutting in with cardio workouts to remove fat and lower your body fat percentages so the muscles show through your skin because it is now thinner.

If you would like to get a six pack in 23 days or less, buy The "Abs In 23 Days" training program. You can learn more about this award winning, abdominal pumping, fat stripping product by clicking HERE

Six Minute Abs

Six minutes out of your day. All you need is a level floor.

Start this torture session just as the end credits begin to roll. A few Sprint, Bell Atlantic, and Burger King commercials later, Jerry should be starting in with the monologue that kicks off the ensuing episode. And by then, your midsection should be burning like charcoal.

Contrary to what many believe, Abdominal workouts do not need to be done in the gym. Your abs don’t need to be tormented through the hi-tech apparatuses or by the squeaky cable machines. In fact, the best abdominal workouts you can possibly get are right in your own home.

However, the key to making your self-crafted ab workout turn your jelly belly into a blazing six-pack is the big ‘V’. Variation.

Blending a number of different motions and exercises with all sorts of variations in motion, speed, and resistance can shock your midsection into the Ripped Abs you desire.

First, wear light clothing that will make you more agile, allowing your movements to be steady and flowing.

Plop down on the floor and take a deep breath. Prepare yourself mentally. This ab workout will consist of one long, continuous set with no breaks in between various movements. Maintaining constant strain on your abs is the key here.

Start with basic crunches. You can either place your hands behind your head or leave them by your sides. However, do not pull your head up with your hands. Bend your knees so that your feet remain flat on the floor. Slowly allow your shoulders to raise off the floor without using your back whatsoever. Begin with 50 slow, strict repetitions before adding in a twist.

A Russian twist, that is. Raising your shoulders off the ground, slowly twist your torso from side to side. You want your right elbow turning toward your left knee and your left elbow twisting toward your right knee. These will seriously burn so try 20 of these with a strict form.

Jump right into leg raises. Extend your legs in front of you, making sure that your feet do not touch the floor. You want to start with them together, about six inches off the floor, before raising them so that your legs form a 45-degree angle. Feel your rectus abdominis tear throughout the 25 repetitions that you crank out.

Whip right back into a set of crunches. Except this time, try them with your legs straight, extended flat out across the floor. While you’re doing these crunches, pretend that an imaginary string is pulling your upper torso off the floor. Make the 50 repetitions flow while the abs grind.

Without hesitation, fling your legs into the air and take on a set of pikes. Your arms are out straight, pointing toward the floor, as you raise your shoulders in an attempt to touch your toes. All the while, your buttocks are lifting slightly off the floor. As you lower your shoulders to the floor, your legs come down again, into a bend position on the floor. No sooner do they touch that you’re beginning the next repetition and the motion flows through 25 agonizing reps.

On the last rep, leave your legs straight up in the air so your toes are pointing toward the ceiling. Crank out 30 crunches to intensify the burn. If you face difficulty in maintaining that 90-degree angle at your hips, slightly lower your legs to the floor.

Then, cut through those abs with some scissors. Lower your legs so that they’re 12 inches off the floor and lock your arms behind your head. Lifting your right shoulder off the floor, twist your torso just as your opposite leg – or left knee – bend into your right elbow. Immediately lower your knee and shoulder and then twist your left elbow toward your right knee. Try doing 25 of these before lowering your shoulders to the mat for the final exercise of the workout.

This will be another set of 50 basic crunches, just like the set that you began the workout with. Exercise slow, strict reps as the burn spreads like wild fire.

The final rep will leave you feeling like you narrowly escape a blazing building in once piece.
